  1. No, but thanks for asking.

  2. What, he’s a lyricist, too?!? Steyn is truly a man for all seasons. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that he wrestles alligators, built his own house and plays cricket.

  3. I were going to put this in t’ thread about Hilaly, but since we’re on the subject of lyrics, here’s my effort. (With apologies to Australia-challenged readers who will be unfamiliar with the original song, called “Up There Cazaly”) :

Well you’re on the dole to earn a living
    So whenever comes the time
You can do what ever turns you on
Get out and clear your mind
    Me, I like gang rapes
And there’s a lot of cat meat around
But when you line ‘em up together
The gang rapes wins hands down

Up there Hilaly, in there and fight
Out there and at ‘em, show ‘em your might
Up there Hilaly, whities are riff-raff
So go fight for Muslim heroes, like Bilal Skaf

Now there’s a lot more things to Australians
    Than really meets the eye
There are days when you could kill ‘em
There are days when you could rape ‘em
You either disdain or hate em
    Depending on the score
But with Eva Cox and David Marr sticking up for you
How’s the mighty roar (hooray, hooray)

Up there Hilaly, in there and fight
Out there and at ‘em, show ‘em your might
Up there Hilaly, don’t let ‘em in
Fighting for gang rapes, you’re out there to win

    Ahhhh…
Up there Hilaly, in there and fight
Out there and at ‘em, explain rapist’s rights
Up there Hilaly, show ‘em you’re high
Fight like the devil, the feminists are on your side
    The - lefties - on - your - side…

  4. goddamit, is there any form of writing the man doesn’t excel at? How does he go with technical manuals?

Paco - He certainly will have played cricket, having gone to school in England. If he has built his own house I’m just going to have to fly right over to New Hampshire and demolish it for him.

It’s bastards like Steyn that give clunking amateurs like me a bad name.

  5. Look at me, I’m Sandy B
    Lousy with authority
Won’t testify ‘til I’ve removed evidence
    I can’t; I’m Sandy B

Watch it! Hey I was sprung today
But I was not brought up that way
I was thinking that Bill Clinton rocks,
When documents fell into my socks
I lost my heart to Teflon Willie

    I don’t drink (no)
    Or swear (no)
I don’t rat my hair (eew)
I get ill from one cigarette
    (cough, cough, cough)
    Keep your filthy pinkee
    Off my shapely knee
Would you pull that crap with Hillary?

    As for you Dennis Hastert,
I know who you wanna hurt
    Bill got his crust
    On his object of lust
But I’m just plain Sandy B

    Elvis, Bubba, let me be!
Keep that pelvis far from me!
    Just keep your cool
    Now your starting to drool
    Hey Fongool, I’m Sandy B!

  6. All bow before Steyn.
I would however, rather trade a few chuckles for the sight of Berger being led off in ‘cuffs…
    Oh well.

  8. Steyn’s probably been reading Tim’s blog, witnessing the constant posting by commenters here of ingenious song lyrics.  For my money, blogstrop’s rendition of Quoted Out of Context is genius.

(to the tune of Taking Care of Business)
If you get in with the right bunch of fellows
    People see you on TV
    Just a-lying about dhimmi
Tell them that you like it this way
It’s the work that we avoid
    And we’re all self-employed
We love to work at nothing all day
    And we be

Quoted out of context (every day)
Quoted out of context (every way)
We been quoted out of context (it’s all mine)
Quoted out of context while blabbing overtime!

  9. I hate Steyn. It’s like taking art class next to Rembrandt.

  10. Tune: Sounds of Silence

Hello Keyser Hilaly’s friend, despite clear facts, you still defend
racist, lies, misogony and beating, for all this we must thank Keating,
And the welfare spent on you, descendents of people sent in chains,
Still remains, at the threat of violence.

  14. I could give Mark Steyn the appreciation he deserves, if Sandy Berger’s screwing with history didn’t infuriate me so.

  17. Thanks Wronwright.
Sandy, Sandy, when will those docs all disappear?
Sandy, Sandy, where will it lead us from here?
With no loving in our souls and no money in our coats
    You can’t say we’re satisfied
But Sandy, Sandy, you can’t say we never tried
