<< REFUGEES WISH TO RECLAIM LAND ~ MAIN ~ WORDS WORDS WORDS >>

SHANE DOESN’T TALK TOO MUCH

The committal hearing of 13 local jihadis began this week:

Suburban Islamic cleric Abdul Nacer Benbrika wanted to kill 1000 Australians to “please Allah” and had the support of a blond recruit who had pledged violent jihad during a meeting with Osama bin Laden.

A Melbourne court heard yesterday that a witness would reveal that Shane Kent, 29, received weapons and explosives training at the Taliban-run al-Faruq training camp for foreign jihadis in Afghanistan.

And at a meeting with bin Laden in that country, Mr Kent, from Meadow Heights in Melbourne’s north, allegedly committed himself to violent jihad. The alleged Melbourne terror cell’s spiritual leader, Mr Benbrika embraced Mr Kent as part of his clique, the court heard, saying: “He’s good, and he doesn’t talk too much.”

Nothing is more annoying than a talkative blastafarian. Less chatter, more splatter! Some interesting books turned up in a search of suspects’ homes:

A bomb-making manual called The Vortex Cookbook, and decrees setting out the rules of violent jihad, were allegedly uncovered at suspects’ homes during police raids before the arrest of the 13 men in November in the combined-agency counter-terrorism Operation Pendennis. Religious handbooks found allegedly included one entitled The Islamic Ruling with Regard to the Killing of Women, Children and the Elderly in a Situation of War, and another called The Virtues of Martyrdom in the Path of Allah.

Nice. More on the committal, adjourned until Friday, here and here.

  1. It’s not Shane Paxton?

  2. As the accused, no doubt, represent a broad spectrum of Australian culture, I hope the police will be able to find some common link between the suspects so that we can understand their motives. Perhaps they were all surfers, for example, or maybe we’ll never know. And if there are any Young Offenders amongst their numbers, maybe they’ll be let go on bail as in the Toronto 17 case. We wouldn’t want anyone traumatized by awaiting trial held in a cold prison cell, would we?

  3. So, will Benbrika be charged with anything, or can he go back to his mosque and start recruiting again?

  4. Can he be tried under the treason law?  We can still hang folks for that right?

  5. For the uninitiated, this tells all about committal hearings (scroll down). I don’t know that American jurisprudence has anything that quite compares.

So, what kind of time are these birds looking at?

  6. #5 20 years springs to mind for some reason, though even if they are convicted there is no way they will serve the full term.  Good behavior, nice smile etc…

  7. “He’s good, and he doesn’t talk too much.”

Doesn’t ask inconvenient questions like “Why haven’t you martyred yourself, cleric?”

  8. Meadow Heights = Mum and Dad are Housing Commission renters.  Dad doesn’t have a job.  Shane’s a loser.

Meadows Heights makes Broadmeadows look almost respectable.

The Islamic Ruling with Regard to the Killing of Women, Children and the Elderly in a Situation of War

      “Fire away, anything goes!”

  10. Talking of Jihadis Spain comes up trumps again:

A Spaniard who was held in Guantanamo Bay and sentenced to six years in a Spanish jail for belonging to al-Qa’eda was acquitted yesterday, on the grounds that he had been denied the right to presumption of innocence.

    The Telegraph (UK).

Let’s not get all censorious.  The same would happen to Hicks here were he released. High Court Justice Kirby would have him on the streets in a flash.

SpainAndalusia seems to have completed their dhimmihood.

  13. How about a book be written on what to do with fundamentalist moronic Islamists who wish to hurt / maim / Kill innocent people who have no idea (does anyone really have an idea of why they think like they do) what these morons are on about.

I think that having his name and picture and where he lives published and then go and have some upstanding individuals go and pay him a visit.

My view would be to tie him to a tree upside down with #8 baling wire, pour honey all over his body and then let nature takes its course, then he can ask Allah for forgiveness for being stupid. Alternatively we can send him to re-education camp with some blokes out of the army who have to protect us from twits like this.

Sorry if the above offend anyone, but this bloke offends me.

Is that something like ‘The Rules of Golf’?

    There are rules?

  23. I bet the only line in that ruling was “Our ruling is that there are no rules…as long as you kill them & not us.”

“Blastafarian” - It’s brilliant, I love it, & I’m gonna use it, thank you!

  24. “The Islamic Ruling with Regard to the Killing of Women, Children and the Elderly in a Situation of War”

Rule #1 Do not kill pretty young females.  We always need more concubines.

Rule #2 If the elderly pay jizya you may let them live.  If they don’t have enough money to satisfy you, give ‘em the chop.

Rule #3 Male children with at least one pubic hair are to be killed.  Those with no pubic hair may be enslaved or killed at the discretion of the jihadis.

Rule #4 For female children, see Rule #1.

Rule #5 You can kill any infidels you want regardless of the rules, if the whim takes you.

    Rule #6 No poofters.
