Have a post on this up at my blog. According to a scientific paper published in a peer reviewed Journal, Darfur has been experiencing huge growth in agricultural produce in the 1990s as well as good rainfall increases over the same, although the two aren’t as linked as you might think. Human adaptability seems to play a large part.
Surf. Wrong. Just wrong.
Unfortunately so is the UN. Never before have so many, done so little, with so much, for so little gain.

Let me just say, it holds no correlation with reality whatsoever, but it’s the mandated minimum training before deploying in support of UN military operations.

I think it was caused by climate change alarmists terrorising Arab extremists to seek higher ground, ground occupied by the hapless Africans. There will be more of this as fanatical groups, such as Hollywood A-listers seek, seek somewhere above the new high water mark. No wonder Montana has so many heavily-armed militiamen hiding in the hills. They didn’t fear black helicopters thumping their way across the sky, as so mant lefties claimed. What they were listening for, waiting for, was the almost inaudible hum of George Clooney in his Prius.
Ki-moon is looking to enlarge his rice bowl. Kofi got his. The UN is a giant con enriching scam artists who paint their “reality” on a global canvas. (Please forgive that strained metaphor. I had a bad night.) Think of the profit to be had globally if they can just combine UN peacekeeping with global warming. It’s got to be worth more than the usual prostitution they work.
I had high hopes for the new SG. The eskis are generally a pretty tough bunch. They controlled their province in Vietnam (Yes, they were there!) very effectively. I recall stories of them parading the heads of Viet Cong around the villages. Their Police, Unions and students know how to run a good riot - not like the peaceniks today.
Alas, it is apparent that this tool is very much a product of the UN machine he has been in. If you live in some third world shit-hole then I’m realy sorry for you becasue the UN ain’t going to do SFA for you.
