Errr, I meant the car. Sure I do, maybe.

Posted by The_Real_JeffS on 2006 12 30 at 01:01 AM • permalinkI don’t know that I’d go that far, yojimbo. Then again, we’ve got a whole twelve months to consider the question. Consider it very carefully indeed… oh yes, lots and lots of consideration…
Posted by SwinishCapitalist on 2006 12 30 at 01:30 AM • permalinkOne of the other soldiers in the medical platoon (SGT Womack) bought a satellite setup in the desert on the economy. Haji put the dish on the roof and ran the wire down to his room through the window. Most of the channels were in Arabic given that we could only pick up local satellites, but there were three that we could find which broadcast (mostly) in English: CNN International, the BBC and Spice Platinum.
Actually, that last one could have broadcast in Urdu for all we cared (not that we ever watched, that would have been a violation of general order #1).
Pinups are cool and all, but maybe Iowahawk could help the guys get a dish.

And it’s supported by the VFW! It’s patriotic. It would be treasonous not to buy it. (which is what I will be telling my wife when she undoubtedly will intercept it when she looks through the mail)

But yeah, a “rock-hard Marine” calendar would be a nice accompaniment.

Jeez, how often do I have to keep reminding you people? You should have ordered your calendars by now:

I also forwarded the VFW and Marine links to a lot of friends and relatives. Just in case they needed a calendar, y’know?
Posted by The_Real_JeffS on 2006 12 30 at 02:09 PM • permalinkThanks, Sonetka’s Mom! I was in the bookstore yesterday looking at all the calendars, but none of them had that certain something I look for every year.
