RITTER IN A RUT
Scott Ritter, the man who argues with himself, in February 2005:
Ritter said that President George W. Bush has received and signed off on orders for an aerial attack on Iran planned for June 2005.
Ritter, February 2006:
“We just don’t know when, but it’s going to happen.”
Ritter, April 2008:
“I think we’ve never been at a greater risk of American military action against Iran.”
Scott Ritter: Likes em young.
Scott Ritter: Bought by Saddam.
Scott Ritter: X - Marine (X as in despised by all honorable Marines.)
Maybe Ritter should stop with the Whoppers, eh?

Scott is clearly the ‘WTF?’ Ritter.Posted by SwinishCapitalist on 2008 05 06 at 12:14 AM • permalinkPredictably, someone here is likely to suggest that we should nuke Iran and plant oranges.
To me this just demonstrates the height of ignorance - haven’t you people ever heard of mandarines or tangelos?

I think we’ve never been at a greater risk of American military action against Iran
I wish.
Unfortunately, I predict it will be left to Israel, just as it was when Saddam Hussein nearly went nuclear.
And when Baby Doc Assad nearly went nuclear earlier this year.

It would be interesting to see what people who support the Liberals think of this article which paints the current bunch of Liberals as bashing the Howard legacy and being intellectially inferior to the liberal/social democrats (Labor).
#8, MM:
Screw oranges! Well, not literally, but metaphorically. But, seriously!! We’ve got oranges out the wazoo.
What we need more of are loquats.
Turn Iraq into one giant, huge, massive and large loquat forest, or grove, or whatever it is called where loquats congregate.
We’ve got a couple loquat tree bushes. Nice, mellow tasting fruit. Makes fantastic jelly and preserves.
The world is ready for loquats. Setting up the friable lands formerly known as Iran as loquat production zones would go a long way toward properly glutting the world market for loquats and loquat associated products.
You know the drill. We can’t go stomping around in foreign devil lands and get all conquery unless there’s something to pillage. In Iran’s case, it can be land for planting and a whole new market to get all hegemony on.
Karma is a bitch. Faye Cramb near death.
Can’t say I’m sad about it.Now any comment to make about Henderson’s article?
Naw. It’s O/T. Try starting your own blog, hmmmmm?

Progressives have outsourced their thinking. Bracks might as well start up his new think tank in Bangalore.

How are the squirrels going to eat? How about we think about some nut trees. We depend on Secret Attack Squirrels for all our intelligence on Iranian nuclear ambitions. The least we can do for the furry little fellows is give them a lifetime supply of nuts for their retirement.
Nuts….. speaking of Ritter…

In the current case, however, the sooner an example is made, and we say “enough is enough”, the better. People forget that throughout history it has taken a strong power to settle things down.
The US was at far greater “risk” of a military conflict with Iran when Dhimmi Carter sent an underfunded, under-equipped, under-trained military mission to Iran to rescue the diplomtic corps

Actually I wouldn’t mind America taking the path of Europe and Japan and letting someone else do the hard work. Allow that country to sacrifice its citizens and treasure, with not one word of appreciation or support being expressed. I nominate Belgium.
Posted by wronwright on 2008 05 06 at 11:57 AM • permalinkScott Ritter has successfully predicted three of the last zero U.S. military attacks on Iran, but Paul Krugman has successfully predicted at least 10 of the last zero recessions.
And one day they may both be right!
