Iowahawk: “Israeli Airstrike Leaves Reuters Ambulance in Flames, Chopped, Channeled.”

That’s via Chuck. And from reader Neil, who is referencing something no worksafe surfer has ever seen, this Reuterse image:

UPDATE. RebeccaH:

Green Helmet Guy looks like he’s about the steal the hubcaps. Which would be typical.

  2. I think that picture is referencng some pic/site called “goatse” (or something spelt similar).  The image was a favourite among hackers who would deface sites and replace every jpeg with it, a few years back.

  4. Need to get Iowahawk down to Sevier County, Tennessee, there is a rod here that looks just as the one above does, save all the extraneous IslamaRedCrossGreenHelmetCryMeAFuckinRiverBullshit.

ONLY big difference, Iowahawks pic, is a Buick, the one here, is an Olds, flames, chopped and channeled.

Seriously, guys, this is one of those cases where you’re really, truly, honestly better off not having seen it.

  9. This week’s print edition of TIME has a “wailing woman in burqa on rubble” shot too. It’s too small an image of her, especially her face in a wide angle shot, to see if it’s the scarred, unlucky homeowner but it’s obviously a posed or staged photo even if it is of a different woman. I couldn’t find the pic on the TIME web site, but there is one of a doll on top of a damaged building from Katrina at the site, but no waiting wedding dresses on dress stands.

  20. Tony Eastley (he’s the one with the squeaky voice who always sounds like he would benefit from either having his adenoids removed or his testicles re-attached), interviewing Alexander Downer on ABC AM this morning, offered the official lefty-luvvee explanation for the small amount of damage to the ambulance. The missile, according to this particular fool, simply didn’t explode. It seems it had just enough grunt to cut a neat symetrical hole in the roof of the vehicle but then totally exhausted by that exertion could only manage to lay limply on the floor.Unfortunately he didn’t bother to explain why the Lebanese Red Cross representative who revealed this war-crime to the MSM didn’t bother to show them this remarkable non-exploding missile.

Hm, maybe someone lost their carkeys…

It’s a bit revolting that it was used so much in the MSM, I mean, when you know what it’s all about.

  32. Ok, I was wrong.  For some reason I thought the reference might had been to a woman on a porn site who was showing us her wares.  Now that I read a portion of the Wiki article, I now want to erase that image from my mind.

  36. I’m not normally a fan of Wikipedia, but I gotta admit that article explained everything just perfectly.

Particularly amusing was the section “Parodies, tributes, and trivia”.  I had no idea that goatse had been referenced in so many places, t-shirts, video-games, music lyrics, etc.

For some of the, er, more youthful readers may find the following two images from that Wiki article amusing:

This is the “Temple of Goatse” from a mod to Quake 2.  (Note: they even included the ring on the left hand!)

And this is a suspicously remeniscent scene from “Unreal Tournament 2004”.

(Don’t worry their stills from video games, not the actual explicit goatse itself.)
