TRIBULATIONS (RELIGIOUS)

With many US readers snowed in by global warming, New Hampshire’s Rich Stadnik emails: “In case you were looking for something on TV while this has been going on, you could have turned to Showtime.”

  1. Three and 1/2 stars? WTFF? That’s the same rating Showtime gives Casablanca ferchrissakes.

  2. "Former Vice President”

Is that his only claim to fame?
He has been called “The Coolest Vice President”, but really, he’s a has-been.

  4. Watch it with the sound down, it makes much more sense that way.

  6. Anyone (in Oz) interested in a DVD of The Great Global Warming Swindle channel 4 program, send me an email at “brett_mcs at bigpond.com”

I’ve downloaded a high quality version - comes out very nice on TV.  I’m now in the process of burning copies for mates.  No payment required if you’ll do the same. It’s the only way it will ever be seen in Australia within the decade.

  7. Nuts to Algore.....I went to see “300”.  Go, people, go!  An excellent movie!  Well worth the $12.50, especially if I can piss off an Iranian mullah.  More bang for my buck!!!!

  8. What is that second section after the main listing? 8:20 where its got “Update with former president Al Gore”?
Is that the gay porno version or is this the “Ok so I may have fudged a few facts and figures but you can trust me” version?
They dont show a contradicting arguement but still alow Honest Al a rebuttal to any criticisms that people may have heard.
Im asking for a big sacrafice but will anyone watch Al do his Up-Date at 8:30?

  21. Oh no, now the al-Goregon has checkmated his opposition:

    Gore collects signatures

I am trembling in my boots—or maybe that’s due to the snow on the ground this morning.

#4 Penguin:  Watch it with the sound off, but play Beethoven’s Ninth, it syncs up well.  Even better if you turn the video off as well.

Is he concentrating on sports figures or Disney characters? You gotta have a theme for your collection, or it’s just a random pile.

If I was a Showtime scheduler, I’d re-run their Global Warming show right after. That would be evil.

  29. But then it’d displace The L Word, Dave S., and then the sisterhood would have to kick Al’s ass for provoking the P&T’s Bullshit show’s rescheduling!
