RECYCLING ENCOURAGED

Global warming is such a crucial issue that the Byron Bay Echo has urgently published a five-month-old Clive Hamilton speech on the matter. Check that tilted dome! And note the picture of Australian editor Chris Mitchell ...

  3. Either that, or judging by the apparent age of most of those pictures, the Echo probably doesn’t have too many pics of News Ltd employees in their photo library.

  4. Did Bob Ellis get fired from that paper? or is he dead. And if he is dead, how would anyone know?

  5. Chris Mitchell: “I.. yam.. a.. MONSTARRR, RAAARRR!!”

What’s more alarming are the pictures of John Eyes, Meg Mcdonald, Barry Jones and Malcolm Broomhead- the nefarious pro-warming cabal is recuiting the terrifying <i>shadow people!!<i>

  7. #4 - If Bob Ellis was dead, tex, wouldn’t he stop moving around and making noise? Unless he was a braindead zombie animated by sheer unquenchable hatred for those he opposed in life…okay, point taken.

  8. How come no one talks about who funds the research from all these climate research institutes?  Isn’t “institute” the same thing as “think tank” which provides the “research” for lobbying groups’ issues?  At least in medical journals, they disclose when a pharmaceutical company funds an experiment using their drug.  Let’s see if we can’t get the same sunlight policy for the climate change racket.

  9. It’s all about money Tex - They got the ‘Clive’ speech for free, while the ‘Ellis’ articles cost a flagon of McWilliams sweet sherry apiece.

  11. One of the reasons I love living in Hong Kong and doing business in China is that I will never have to deal with chrome heads like Hamilton. More power to back room dealings, I say. And if he thinks Asia is going to democratise any time soon he’s got rocks in his head!

  12. I notice that “Chris Mitchell” is doing something entirely new - the NON-compassionate head tilt.

    It may catch on.

  13. I often wonder if Clive ‘don’t consume’ Hamilton actually believes that if we all followed his low consumption economic model, anyone would be better off?

If the richest people (and nations) scaled back their consumption it would only hurt the poorest, who by a large live off the proceeds of selling things to richer people
    (and countries).

  14. Clive says: “the consensus among climate scientists is that annual emissions must be reduced to around three gigatons to avoid the worst effects of global warming”.
what a load of bollocks. which scientists reached this consensus?
in other words, shut down all our evil industries, everyone make your own clothes, get rid of your cars, and travel around by skateboard.
