QUESTIONS RAISED

“Recent appointments raise questions about US policy, writes Michael Gawenda in Washington.” That’s according to the Sydney Morning Herald. The recent appointment of Michael Gawenda as the Fairfax group’s Washington correspondent also raises questions about the US policy of his publishers.

  1. The simple fix for the SMH is for people not to buy it until it lifts its standards. Besides its not worth the cover price.

    “The nationalist direction is clear: America is a great power that exists to do great things. America will use international institutions and abide by international law when they advance its great mission.

    “But it will abandon institutions and ignore international laws if they constrain its freedom to act.”
