PROHIBITION ON THE MARCH

The war on pork now extends to a war on booze:

Masked gunmen stormed into a club for United Nations workers in Gaza City on Sunday and blew up the drinking hall ...

Gunmen burst into the U.N. club, one of the few places that alcohol is served in conservative Muslim Gaza. It had been closed for the day. The attackers tied up the security guard and struck him with gun butts.

“The club has been there for 50 years,” said one U.N. security worker. “This is the first time anything like this has happened.”

Interesting that the bar was attacked on a day when it was closed. An earlier attack by Middle Eastern anti-alcohol activists—in Bahrain—took place when the selected venue was open, resulting in a deserved implement insertion:

One diner managed to wrest a knife away from the Islamists and stabbed one with it, causing him severe injuries, a witness said.

And people say drinking is harmful. Trying to stop it is evidently worse.

  3. Sorry, no offense intended, with proper PC apologies to all those moral equivalencers out there, but why is it that, whenever the Palestinians ARE put in charge of some plot of their purported homeland, the air is always filled with the sounds of roaring mobs, glass shattering, and AK-47 rounds being fired almost orgasmically into the ether?

  12. I have personally known three people of the Muslim faith, and they were all enthusiastic drinkers, as well as somewhat casual in their sexual practices.

As to the islamofascists trying to puritanize Gaza, I predict someday soon the Israeli occupation will be seen as the Good Old Days.

  13. In the world of Arafatland, child sacrifice is applauded (the pictures of child homicide bomber martyrs who have blown up innocents are distributed over Gaza and elsewhere) but enjoying a ham sandwich with a beer is a cardinal sin. So this is an example of the moral principles which serve as the foundation of Arafatland and of the liberal loonies who demand,“GIVE THEM A STATE”.

  15. You don’t need actual Muslims to attack western culture.  Waverley council has banned the use of the Aussie flag on the pavilion at Bondi Beach.

Voters in Waverely council elections should be reminded who voted which way at the next election.  Malcolm Turnbill, who appears to have been the machiavelli (sp?) behind this action, will no doubt make sure the voters are aware of the council’s voting pattern.  How could they have been so stupid as to fall for Turnbill’s trap (he even agreed to provide an aboriginal flag as well!!)?

In a classic example of dhimmitude, the Council did not consult the muslim community:
” decisions made on behalf of Muslims with no consultation only caused further division”. although that quote for Keysar Trad is a bit rich, considering that his claims as a muslim spokesman appear to be based on the fact that he has made sure most journos have his mobile phone number.

  21. Lessee, as soon as the Palestinian Arabs have control of some stretch of turf the place degenerates into a cesspool of mobs, mafiosi, murder, would-be totalitarians (religious or secular) fighting each other for power, tribal feuds and corruption.  And they attack the UN for not being strictly Muslim enough, even the non-Muslims.  Talk about an own-goal.  Now there is talk of adopting the jizya again.  Look closely at Gaza everybody, this is what a Palestinian Arab state will be like.

I’m afraid we were wrong, here in the US.  Not all people are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.  The Palis are the exception.  They were endowed with excessive bloodthirstiness and stupidity.

I understand the prohibition on alcohol also extends to using any products which contain alcohol - for example, perfume and/or deodorant, cough medicine…

I read a piece in “Ask an Imam” where an enquirer was advised that they couldn’t use anything with alcohol in it, and women may not use any perfume (including any perfumed product) when performing the Haj* (pilgrimage to Mecca).

Nilk, can you expand on this? (Happy New Year, by the way.)

*I reckon things’d be getting pretty whiffy in Mecca with millions of stinky non-deodorised bodies all surging everywhere.

Let’s see, there has been a militant attack on a Palestinian police station that left one officer dead, as well as two others, Palestinian police were forced to close a boarder crossing just the other day (it only makes the news when Israelis close boarders) and an Australian, an Italian and a Female human rights worker and her family have all been kidnapped in Gaza in recent weeks!
And now the great pork and plonk crack-down…promising Stuff!

We’re banning symbols for being adopted by drunkards, extremists and racists now?

Time to ban the ALP’s favourite symbol: the Eureka flag!

Afterall, it is also the favourite symbol for the Patriotic Youth League and other white-nationalist organisations.

Malcolm Turnbull’s website points out the way the Australian flag was voted against by councillors.

While Waverley Local Council is incapable of cleaning up the streets or fixing up Bondi BEach, it doesn’t mind getting involved in international politics, passing Council motions on Iraq and the UN. The Aussie flag however is too much for them… Asshats. Turnbull donated the flag and it would have cost them peanuts. On the other hand, the anti-war banners hanging outside the Council Chambers were paid for by the ratepayers, and the parking meters for which Waverley is famous.

Malcolm Turnbull represents everything that is good about politics, Waverley Council the opposite.

As for alcohol in cosmetics and stuff, it’s minimal and tastes terrible - worse than metho.

Alcohol when used in cooking loses its alcoholity and won’t get you drunk. It just adds a bit of flavour. (Or so I’ve been told. I refuse to waste good drinking material in food.)

Um, I know lots of Mozzies that will drink red and eat food with grog in it (my excellent festive cake made with Bundy for example), but I do recall seeing a woman travelling on the Haj who wasn’t allowed to use any shampoo with perfume or any deodorant. They are paranoid about getting the taste of alcohol, I think.

Glad to hear you are back on the air!
