  1. Have the Brits asked the kidnappers to take her back yet?

  2. Oh please kidnap me! No, no, no, not them! ME! Me first! Me-me-me-me!

  3. Another load of ISM activists con the stupid Brits our of ransom money for their Pal Pals.
In the case of Australian activist “kidnappings”,John Howard should pay to keep these idiots in Pal hands not to release them.

  4. She wasn’t kidnapped- she was involuntarily detained to partake in some discourse, and to be elucidated to the reality of Israeli hegemony and the expansionist nature of Zionist oppression of freedom-loving Arabs.
And they wouldn’t let her go until she bought a book (probably the Protocols).

On a related subject, Compass on your ABC last night featured an interesting chap- an Aboriginal activist convert to Islam. A very balanced outlook, with a chip on both shoulders; whitey was opressing him because he’s black, and western civilization was discriminating against him for his beliefs; that sort of masochism should get him a seat in the House of Lords.

  5. You go to Palestine to help the common people. Get kidnapped within days of getting there - see the recent Italian - and then they hand you back.

The $$ ransom value of human rights campaigners must be pretty low.

  6. We’d pay top dollar if they’d keep them; after a week or so, the strident, indignant and self-rightous blather would see the kidnappers paying western governments to take the buggers back.

  9. re #4: did anyone else see the ABC’s amazing Dynasty program last night (Mon) on the Communist dynasty of the Aarons (Laurie, Sam, Mark etc)? In the whole half-hour, there was only one seriously critical line—that the Soviet invasion of Czechoslavakia was a setback to their cause. (No mention of Hungary).
The ABC had a sister-in-law being quoted a lot about the family being a bit too pre-occupied with politics but that Laurie was a super father when he wasn’t spending 15 months at a time being ‘educated’ in Peking study schools.
There was literally NO mention of trade unions nor any mention of just what policies the Australian Communist Party of 1938-58 was pursuing. The Aarons, it said, were all ‘waiting for the revolution’ that never came—no mention of the fact that they were actively trying to promote the revolution and presumably replace Australian democracy with their own ‘dictatorship of the proletariat’.
Whenever the ABC referred to ASIO surveillance of the clan, the program played spooky sinister background music—the bad guys (ASIO) were after the good guys (the Aarons). The height of evil was that ASIO had recruited the Aarons’ neighbor as an informer. Well, doh!
What a great ABC exercise in brainwashing the ignorant . I still can’t work out if the program authors were themselves ignorant - or worse.

  10. She is a reincarnation of one of Lenin’s “useful idiots.”

During the Cold War, there were any number of “peacenik” groups in Europe and America, signing petitions and marching to ban nuclear weapons, stop missile deployments, etc.  Most of these groups were set up or funded by the Soviet Union.  While there were commies in these organizations, for the most part they were made up of well-meaning liberals.  Representatives would go to international conferences set up by the Soviet Union, and publicly berate Fascist America and its running dogs.  Information from Soviet archieves show that the Soviets had nothing but contempt for these people,  whom they considered to be fools.

Kate Burton and her fellow-travellers are dhimmis and fools.  If they only could fathom what the islamofascists have in store for them.  But no, it is the Jews who are the source of all evil.

  11. Forgive me for pointing out, that every time an anti-western/anti-zionist/anti-U.S. lefty-type is kidnapped in the regions that occupy the ROP, they return, head intact.

Are they all just coordinated hoaxes, meant to further their own agenda?

I ponder this with sincerity. I dont know the answer, but something smells fishy.

BTW, what ever happened with the ‘Christian Peace’ activists?

That story seems to have disolved entirely.

yep Dubcek must be turning in his grave after that.
No mention that the mainstream Aussie coms probably left when they became acquainted with Stalin’s deed either.
This mark Aarons cannot be the same one who writes books about war criminals. ??

  17. #15: don’t be hard on Mark Aarons’s book output, he did some great research/compilations on how the Vatican ran its ‘rat-line’ for Nazi SS murderers in the 1946-50 period, and on actual war criminals entering Australia—I wouldn’t rate his ideological incorrectness as equivalent to any crime. I think he also did a book called “The War against the Jews” which was meaty. However, lo and behold, I find he had a good career with—wait for it!—the ABC current affairs - see below:
Former journalist/reporter for the Australian Broadcasting Commission, and author of Sanctuary: Nazi Fugitives in Australia, Aarons was NSW Branch Secretary of the ABC Staff Association during 1980-1981 and NSW Branch President of the Association until its amalgamation with the Public Sector Union in 1989 when he became Joint Assistant Branch Secretary of union.
Sanctuary: Nazi Fugitives in Australia (1989),
Ratlines: How the Vatican’s Nazi Networks Betrayed Western Intelligence to the Soviets (1991, with John Loftus),
East Timor: A Western Made Tragedy (1992, with Robert Domm), and
The Secret War Against the Jews (1994, with John Loftus).

  18. Hey Percypup they’re always cannibalizing their ranks for parts -remember the Australian story or was it Dy-nasties about Max Uetritz -former head of abc current affairs and news…subsequently fired from commercial channel.
7.30 Report tonight Nat Gallery puts together Art of Islam -long story, much advertising, some from Aceh.
SBS news tonight 47 seconds on the bombings in Nepal this week by Maoists.Gosh they spent three times that on the story about the pampered pigs in U.K. and their “wallowing” in luxury.
Footnote -notice after all the reverential treatment of Islam there was a promo for a British programme which featured a woman dressed as a nun.The “nun” swore loudly as part of the promo which was meant to be hilariously funny. So much for equal treatment by beeb and aunty of religions.

I wonder about that too.  Personally I think it is has to do with all the connections to the kidnappers saying ‘Let them go, they are such perfect useful idiots’

  21. Obviously Kate Burton is yet another self-important fool with a saint complex.  She should get together with Cindy Sheehan so they can play rock/paper/scissors over who gets to save the world.  I wish the Palestinians had kept her, except that they probably couldn’t stand her either.

  23. I wonder what happened to “kidnap victim” Donna Mulhearn and the American and British friends she claimed were “kidnapped” with her by “resistance fighters” in Fallujah. Mulhearn said: “I explained to their leader why we were in Iraq. He was gentle, not violent; the interrogation was a moving and profound experience.”  This blog post is interesting, especially this comment. These people certainly seem to have a knack for keeping their heads

  26. Kate Burton——who developed Stockholm Syndrome even before she was kidnapped.
Stockholm Syndrome- Bah! It’s sex, man, can’t you see it. Her reaction to the Brits attempt to debrief her was that of a sweetheart protecting her lover(s). Listen, I’ve lived long enough among the Arabs to have seen the mutual attraction between the piano legged fresh plumpy English babes, unable to find it among or be attractive to their pimply faced boys at home and the horny Arabs, unable to hump anyone they consider a future wife, so polite, sweet, and considerate of the fair western babes, whom they consider flaming whores, and whom, consequently, inflame them all the more. Get over the phony “Stockholm schtick” (as if it explains anything). Note that all the “victims” released and continuing to cooperate are females, with a very few male homosexuals thrown in.  Note that the macho men have all been beheaded.
