PEOPLE FEELING ALIENATED
A reporter questions Prime Minister John Howard on the Cronulla riots:
Reporter: “Do you think anything the Government said over the last few years has set the tone for the actions on the weekend?”
PM: “Which Government?”
Reporter: “Your Government.”
PM: “My Government?”
Reporter: “Yes.”
PM: “Certainly not. What do you have in mind?”
Reporter: “Your position on Iraq.”
PM: “My position on Iraq?”
Reporter: “Do you think that’s had any influence on people feeling alienated?”
PM: “My position on Iraq? You’ve got to be joking.”
Via the Sydney Morning Herald’s Alan Ramsey, who plainly believes Howard to be at fault.
UPDATE. An online item by the SMH’s Andrew West in which he asked if “maybe the problem is certain forms of Islam” and questioned some aspects of multiculturalism appears to have been removed from his archives.
Unspoken assumption by the reporter: It’s okay to express your displeasure at Howard’s Iraq policy by smashing cars and beating up life guards. That is, if we’re to assume there’s an actual thought process going on, and it’s not merely an uncontrollable reflex to cite Iraq as the reason for anything and everything.
At any rate, Howard’s “You’ve got to be joking” response is the only way to answer such manifest stupidity.
From alienation to introspection:
“The Australian”, 14 Dec 2005, mentions a two-year study of 2,000 Australian Arabs by Institute for Globalisation and Citizenship, Deakin University, Melbourne which found that
”...many of those surveyed complained about lack of access to the mass media, where they could promote the more moderate interpretation of Islam .... The study found they desperately want to be involved in the wider community but become introspective when they feel under threat.”An anglican bishop in the letters page of the Australian goes one better. He links the recent unrest to violence on TV, the war in Iraq, income tax cuts and lack of ‘social investment’.
I wrote in and said that he forgot to mention global warming. I doubt they’ll publish it.

What an idiot!
Any observant two-year old could tell you it’s really George W. Chimpy’s fault.
You’re the idiot! - Didn’t you know it was really all the Jews’ fault?
Bolta’s finally kicked in today, “It’s time to think”. As usual a well considered round-up of the wider situation. Bonus points too for dragging that miserable SBS into the frame.

Don’t forget to include the anti-white Lebanese gang intimidation in Sydney’s south and CBD that also predated 9/11 by 15 years.

But radio ratings show that Jones’s largest audience are people in the 55+ age group. Why haven’t I seen a horde of grey supremacists in the press photos and on TV?

Thanks Tim for confirming who the idiot journo was to ask this drivel.
No surprises about it being Ramsey.
Must be true what they say about the SMH workplace being the worlds only above ground cemetary.Posted by Hank Reardon on 2005 12 13 at 11:46 PM • permalinkRamsey’s a dingbat and he writes for a third rate fish wrap. I’ve never spent a cent on a SMH, and never will.
But I do contribute to the funding of that other major Australian disgrace, the AB stinking C. The bile and drivel on this issue that has poured out of the Bolshie Collective has been disgraceful. But they’ve dug up a rancid old bone to chew on today! The Bolshies hero, David Hicks’s apparent conversion to Britishness has them in a real lather. Ignorant pricks!JoHo and his supporters are talking about the similarities that make us all Australians. The ALP and its fellow travellers in the multi-culti movement are always on about the differences that divide Australians from different backgounds. For them Diversity is King.
These riots are clearly based on tribalist impulses. So what does more to fan those impulses the idea of us all looking for common ground or the idea that we are all members of rigidly defined groups?
the answer is a no-brainer, the root cause of the riots is the left-wing stupidity that can only see equality between groups and not individuals.
If the young thugs on both sides were shown that deviance from the morality of Australian social mores and criminal law were not to be tolerated, things would improve. To do this we have to throw out 40 years of left/liberal dogma. The prime smelly little orthodoxy that needs to be jettisoned tout de suite is the idea that our Western culture is always inferior to that of other nations. We need to introduce a new social stigma against those who clearly are motivated by self-loathing racism for their own kind. It will be hard, but it has to be done if we are to have any future.
Lefties have no trouble laughing at and scorning Christianity. It is now time they turn their derision and scorn onto Islam as well. If they find Chrisitanity of any description over prescriptive and dangerous, surely Islam must offend their sensibilities too.
I always wonder if some Moslems aren’t really insecure in their faith. If they are true believers, they wouldn’t give a rat’s patooty about what a non-Moslem says about Islam. I am a High Church Anglican. Almost everyday, I hear something that disparages or just mocks my faith. yet my reaction is to pity those who seem to have too few brains and too little humility to understand the solace of religion. That is their loss. There is no need for me to get offfended and to try and take revenge on the perpetrators. If I have a mind to them I would calmly point out that I think they are wrong; but is up to God to deal with them, not me. maybe the Moslems should start to take this attitude. If this idea began to permeate their teaching I can foresee a drop in the thuggery of people such as those in the lebanese gangs who have been on the rampage recently. many people have noted that a lot of the “Lebs” wear their religion lightly. However, I reply that whether they are practising Moslems or not, the teaching of their youth has taken hold of their psyches. If these young men have always been told that all “attacks” on your religion are to be met with anger, if not threats and violence, then it is hardly surprising that they will act in the same manner when they perceive that social mores are being ridiculed or scorned.
I’m not sure if the ‘root cause’ has been fully established as yet. Let me pre-empt:
A decade or so of dithering left wing socialist politics and an effete judiciary has emasculated the police and emboldened criminal behaviour by MIDDLE EASTERN MUSLIMS to the point where they CAN and DO anything they want to the rest of the community because they are automatically given the victim card. And anyone who stands up to them and trys to stop them from raping and pillaging is instantly labelled a racist white bigot. They are than beaten to the ground and threatend with the full force of the law, which is apparently only unleashed for ‘racism’ and chained for use against murderers, rapists and drug pushers.
I think that’s it in a nutshell. Please correct if I missed anything. I’ll just sit and wait for the knock on the door by the police to re-educate me and my inappropriate views.
Actually, stickit, I think you’ll find it’s Chimpy Bushitler’s fault. He should have signed the Kyoto protocols.
Hmmm. Protocols of the Elders of Gaia?
Posted by Nilknarf Arbed on 2005 12 14 at 12:11 AM • permalinkLike many, I have been concerned about the lack of an attempt to assimilate Lebanese Muslims for many years. My concerns arose as a 40 year supporter of the Bulldogs football club. While I have not personally been threatened at a game and indeed take my 5 year old daughter, I have seen the element (and it is only an element) who cause the trouble.
When I drive back from the country on the M5 on a Sunday night I see their cars headed into the city. You can only say that they are “looking for trouble”. I see them in Norton Street in Leichhardt on a Friday night and the stabbings at 2:00am follow. This is a group who are criminals. They are able to use Islam as a cover because Islam lets itself be used. It allows prominence and legitimacy to Imams who, for their own hegemonistic purposes, promote alienation and confrontation.
The people and “yobbos” of the Shire may be just the first one’s to stand up to them and say “enough”. It has been a particularly pathetic performance by the police when bashings, riots, stabbings, shootings etc meet with the Commissioner standing in front of a tv camera and admitting no error.
Only a complete idiot would not have been able to forecast retaliation by the Lebanese Muslim gangs and if the police missed it then..draw your own conclusions.
radio ratings show that Jones’s largest audience are people in the 55+ age group. Why haven’t I seen a horde of grey supremacists in the press photos and on TV?
For the same reason thousands of French Muslims weren’t listening to 2GB via Internet before rioting.
Because radio had nothing to do with it. History did.
So Andrew West is actually “Contrarian Until Caught At It?”

Yes, Deo, I can’t imagine what triggered the dreadful race riot in Cronulla.
Those skip Aussies are just all racists.
The whole world lapping up the MSM believes this.
And the saddest thing is also that so many Australians believe it, too, particularly those who don’t live in areas where harassment happens and who seem to think that everyone from the western sydney suburbs and cronulla are from low socio-economic backgrounds… it’s a poverty thing… it’s a jealousy thing (minorities are getting more that real Aussies of whatever background)... It might shock them that some people from the Cronulla/Woolooware area (Sutherland Shire) are quite wealthy asset-wise. Check out the price of real estate there.
There are also, of course, people who aren’t well-off.I knew that West’s sudden rationality was but a passing phase.
This is his attempt to make good with his bread-and-butter, thoroughly conformist readership.
Some “contrarian”. His “blame the white drunken racist Australian hooligans” analysis now gels perfectly with 99.9% of the international MSM.
He even tries to make the ‘Nulla locals out to be economically elite because they live near the ocean. Has even visited Cronulla?
99% of the inhabitants rent the place they live in, and share that rent with roomies.

Obviously the next the next thing to join the “banned wagon” will be tree branches.
A big media campaign is iminent to outlaw the existence of these dangerous implements.
Social engineers in their race to rid society of danger will each go on the rampage with taxpayer funded chaisaws cutting down trees and chipping the lethal weapons. The Greenies will hail it is a positive move towards a safer society.

They have no doubt that Mossad is “heavily involved in the suicide bombings in Iraq. And the CIA of course.” They have said that Mossad is behind the terrorist attacks in Israel to distract attention from the “occupation”. Mossad knew in advance about 9/11 but decided not to tell the Americans because they calculated the attack would help Israel. In fact Mossad was behind 9/11. And Bush. Who is controlled by Mossad and the Zionist Jabilinski Jew neocons anyway. Also behind Madrid and London. Especially London.
Now they claim that Mossad was behind the Cronulla riots. Soon they will claim Mossad was behind the attacks on the churches. And you ask whether they are serious?
Take a deep breath my friend. Of course they are bloody serious.
Flipping channels, I caught the tail end of a news report that described a memo/document that had just been found/leaked which detailed deliberate police unwillingness to deal with Lebanese Gangs.
I missed the majority of the story, anyone got any further info?

It wasn’t taken from this letter printed in the Daily Tele today?Unfortunately I’m just not sure. The way the reporter dealt with it, I could have sworn that it was something a little more official that had fallen into their hands… but it might well be the same one.
OT, I just noticed this. It seems there is racism in our hemisphere after all.
Watch how the media skillfully overlooks it.

The reporter in question isn’t George Negus, is it? If so, he’s improved his interview technique since the one with Margaret Thatcher many moons ago, on 60 Minutes was it? Can someone find a transcript of that interview where Negus says, “People say ...” and Thatcher responds, “Which people ...” It was hilarious.First they messed up a Maori (at Maroubra), now the Lebanese are attacking the Tongans.
I wonder, could their motive be suicidal depression?
Because I can’t think of a more effective way to insure your own demise than by messing with Islanders.

The Australian, 20:35 AEDT, 14 Dec, 2005
... a leaked document has indicated that police were not equipped to respond to Monday’s violence in Cronulla, in which people were assaulted and cars, shopfronts and windows were smashed.
The Seven Network said it had obtained a police incident report instructing officers to stay away from one of the trouble spots – believed to be Punchbowl Park in Sydney’s west – on Monday night.
The park is believed to have been the meeting place for scores of men who formed a vehicle convoy which drove to Cronulla unimpeded by police.
The report showed those in the crowd were suspected of being Middle Eastern criminals who had been involved in malicious damage and civil disobedience offences throughout the Sutherland Shire, the network said.
The report said “a direction was given to police about midnight not to enter the area and antagonise these persons”.#6 -timeline should begin 15 years ago with some Jemaah Islameer families being accepted as immigrants in Perth,W.A. because “they were J.I. in Indonesia and were being PERSECUTED FOR THEIR RELIGION.”
Although a few years ago they denied being J.I when questioned by Asio, the ABC had an old videotape of a current affairs program which had interviewed them shortly after their arrival in Australia.
The twin brothers have since disappeared on false passports back to Indonesia, one was a senior teacher at the W.A. Islamic College.
The Ayub brothers have never surfaced since.Morris Iemma should resign immediately for failure to protect his own community’s constitutional right to practice their religion. Worse than that, whilst he has been the local member his electorate has been exporting crime to all others areas in Sydney. The rise of Middle Eastern Islamic crime gangs arose in his electorate on his watch and now he is Premier! Do us a favour, do the decent thing and resign Morris.
Posted by platey mates on 2005 12 14 at 07:50 AM • permalinkThis whole thing could end up an electoral disaster for the major political parties. The ALP has everything invested in the status quo and Peter Debnam’s side are conspicuously quiet about this. I may be wrong about Peter Debnam, the media may simply be ignoring anything he says. The wider population feeling threatened and not listened to may, at the next election, turn to anyone taking a different stand, shades of Pauline Hanson. Both major parties could end up with a reduced number of seats, neither able to form a government. To do so they will have to deal with the third force which they may not like at all.
#46 & #47:
That was the one. I agree, this should be absolutely damning news for the social workers posing as senior police commanders.
It ought to be career killers.
But, thanks to their loyal allies in the media, that story won’t be covered by anyone else tomorrow. It will be swept under the rug of total omission.
In the words of Mr Ramsey… count on it.
