PEACEKEEPERS FERTILE, ABUSIVE, INJURED
The Age’s Lindsay Murdoch reports:
The UN establishment in New York was shocked when it received an internal report last month exposing a culture that covered up behaviour that enraged many UN staff, several of whom resigned in disgust.
The report revealed that peacekeepers left behind at least 20 babies they had fathered to Timorese women who are now stigmatised and in some cases ostracised by their communities.
It revealed that one UN peacekeeper from an unnamed country sexually abused two boys and two girls in the enclave of Oecussi, and in 2001, two Jordanian soldiers were evacuated home with injured penises after attempting sexual intercourse with goats.

As I recall, the Australian contingent in East Timor aided in the, ummmmmm, extraction of at least one of those Jordanian soldiers.
Medically speaking, of course.
debi, I understand that beastiality, while not socially acceptable in some cultures, is fairly common. At least, that’s what I gather from this.

imaginableimagined atrocity in the Middle East. And the world.Nver mind that the few crimes actually by US troops are taken seriously, investigated, and mostly prosecuted, while the UN merely issues a stupid report. America Is Evil™, doncha know?
Posted by The_Real_JeffS on 2006 08 30 at 01:27 PM • permalinkOr not even that. Note that the report in question was only for internal use.
I missed that, PW. Yup, God forbid that the UN should be, like, y’know, ethical or something like that, and deal with their problems. But, hey, why ruin their flawless record?

This sort of thing and worse has been going on for more than a decade. And what’s more, people have been exposing it for the entire time but the UN has refused to listen or act. Now an “internal” report says what anyone who’s ever seen the UN in action in Asia knows about only too well and people resign in disgust? Who are they kidding?
#4 I’m guessing that they tried the wrong end, Merlin.
#7 Billy, of course, El Cid.Posted by andycanuck on 2006 08 30 at 07:40 PM • permalinkThe Real JeffS—For a while I worked in sales for a low-rent video distributor. Horrible straight to video flicks, retired lame releases, etc. One of our lines was “cable cut” porn movies, i.e., porn with the explicit bumpin’ uglies edited out.
We had a lot of shops who told us their communities wouldn’t tolerate that sort of material. But, my hand on the Koran, man, without missing a breath at least a third of those retailers would go on to say, without pausing for a breath: “Got any bestiality?”
Apparently there’s a lot of it about.

...Jane Fonda movies, Michael Moore documentaries…

Animal liberationist and Greens philosopher Peter Singer has previously discussed the rules of having sex with animals, suggesting that “occasionally mutually satisfying activities may develop”:
This does not make sex across the species barrier normal, or natural, whatever those much-misused words may mean, but it does imply that it ceases to be an offence to our status and dignity as human beings.
The rules have now been clarified for the curious. From the UN’s experience in East Timor it turns out that one bleat means “no”:
#34 Nic. And what about the “offence to the status and dignity” of the unfortunate goats selected by Singer for the exercise his progressive perversions.Has he revealed how he and like minded freaks go about establishing the “mutally satisfying” nature of their activity from the goat’s perspective before the coupling occurs or is he suggesting that as long as the goat doesn’t complain to the Police after the event all is well.
Has he revealed how he and like minded freaks go about establishing the “mutally satisfying” nature of their activity from the goat’s perspective…
He phones the next the day, Lew!

Seemingly so, richard.

Something called “Peace Keepers News” at
http://www.timoraid.org/v1/timortoday/news/peacekeepers_news.htm
has this:17/07/01 (UN PKF) Oecussi Peacekeeping Force members belonging to the Jordanian Battalion (JORBATT), maintaining security in Oecussi, provided 800 school bags to primary pupils at three schools within the enclave yesterday.
So it might well be the Jordanians. If the UN doesn’t want us to think this then let them clarify it.

It should not suprise anybody about the animal libs and that strange nut Peter Singer defending the UN in East Timor. Just look in the past how previous governments have groveled and made laws locally, because we ‘signed something with the UN’.
To quote; “the road to Hell is paved with Good intentions”. But try telling that to the lefties and weirdos and their hangers-on.

Maybe that’s what Saddam was doing in Niger; not looking for yellowcake but looking for good-looking goats—Niger’s other main export.
