OPPOSITION CRUSHED
There should be a category for best readers. Thanks to all voters and multi-voters.
Well done Tim.
I’m sure Loewenstein will be whining and complaining that he should have won. He just can’t hack how unpopular he is.
May you continue to win Tim.

Our only worry is that prior to the next vote, we’ll be seeing way too much of Darryl Mason, Tim Dunlop, and others, lobbying for our votes. Damn it, it’s bad enough seeing Hillary in our supermarket check out lanes.

Hi, what’s the latest on that megahuge Muslim school planned for out your way?
No news about it here in the local Liverpool rags and working fulltime now I can’t listen to the radio for long - just Al in the morning while having my wake up coffee
Your local council must have a death wish

One day, I’m going to take him out to coffee, (and I’ll even pick up the cheque, ick, ack, cough) just so I can find out why I need ear plugs if they’re being silenced.
By the way, if anyone has a night mask I can borrow, it’ll be greatly appreciated.
And thanks to all of you for a very entertaining blog
Even though I don’t post that often I read it every day (it’s the one blog I look at during the day while I’m supposed to be working)
Congratulations Tim, well done!

The mere title of any one of a dozen of Tim’s posts, picked at random, is funnier than anything that ever appeared on that excrescence of pus-filled leftism.

Hi and how’s your little girl BTW? Keeping you awake I see :-)
Sadly I don’t get to LGF so much anymore - bloody working fulltime really gets in the way as I’m just too stuffed most night these days
Posted by aussiemagpie on 2007 11 09 at 10:35 AM • permalinkHi Magpie,
It’s been a long time! Did you ever get out to Blair’s House of Worship? I reckon Tim has been lighting a heap of candles there to secure his win! heheh
The Council haven’t made a decision yet. The application has been lodged, but not documented yet. We’ve gotten the word out and made sure the locals get as many submissions as possible, citing their objections and the reasons for them, to the council by the 14th of this month.
Then we have to await the council’s decision.
Fingers crossed. If Council rejects the application, they’ll definitely go to the Land and Environment Court to appeal. Unfortunately for us, they’ve retained Bingham as their counsel and spokesman. He’s a real scumbag who’ll sell himself to the highest bidder. Doesn’t care how filthy their money is.I think I’ll light a few candles at Blair’s House of Worship. Seems to have worked for our Fearless Leader! ;)
Good show Tim!

I’ll have to go on Sunday to light a candle then
Thanks for the update on the school

Yes you guessed correctly! Not one of the Muslim schools reply - ever
And we have plenty of Muslim schools in the Liverpool area, and in neighbouring Bankstown - so why on earth do they want another out in the countryside???
And yes the NSW Education Dept sold land belonging to Bass Hill High School to a developer who is now building - you guessed it - another Muslim school

Hi kae - yes it’s not made the news really - I just heard it on the radio a few weeks ago
Apparently the Dept of Education had no idea the land was being used for a school
Like how dumb (or devious) were the bureaucrats who signed off on that one?
Makes me want to move to Queensland to get away from all this in NSW :-)

Anyway, for this party, I brought the beer, the mead (I couldn’t get a photo of the Sumerian Mead. Wronwright’s forcefields wrecked my camera), the wine and the soft drinks.
Damn right. After the Great Mead Heist of 2007 by The Real JeffS via a transporter (how did he get access to a transporter? I want to know!), I had them installed. I’d install death ray sentry guns too if it wasn’t for my worry of what they could do to Yippee, my guard dachsund.

Congratulations, Tim. It was a slam dunk.
Southwest Ohio was a busy place this election. We (and by “we”, I mean “they”) voted in a new mayor who’s dumb as a box of rocks, and a whole new school board that we (and by “we”, I mean “we”) hope will make some much needed changes.

What? Well, round them up again. My yard still needs raking.

The shoulder thing hurts like hell!
No shit, Lady Kae. Think you have pics of my place…Right behind the house, it goes damn near straight up…May have mentioned, but I was cutting some underbrush and trees (chainsaw) when I slipped and did my half gainer.
My shoulder will never be right, as I refused the offer of an operation.
As I didn’t and still don’t believe that screws, nails, staples, bubble gum or school paste, belong INSIDE a body…well, at least not mine.
Re #77, Rob, maybe we can install a transporter in the Dora, and have the best of both worlds, eh?
Posted by The_Real_JeffS on 2007 11 09 at 04:09 PM • permalink#75, wronwright, sorry. Can’t find the Mexicans, will Guatemalans do?
I won’t be responsible, though, if they suddenly stop raking and break out into music.
Incidentally, for anybody who thinks I’m making fun of Guatemalans, I have a CD I bought in Santo Tomas de Castillo, and if you ever have a chance to go there, I highly recommend it. Hungry for the tourist dollar, yes, but friendly, and not only willing but anxious to give you bug spray if you go outside the city (because of the malaria).
More proof that the people (and not the communist ideal of “The People”) actually do rule.
86. Was that the place the last time Tim left for a few days, or the time before? My memory is a bit hazy due to being thoroughly refreshed. I seem to remember a few cars being used for BBQ’s and things.

We actually have a local Amish community. Know how they get around? Public transit. Streets just aint safe for horsedrawn vehicles. They can adapt to local conditions, you can put up with teflon in your shoulder girdle.

Posted by Tony.T.Teacher on 2007 11 09 at 08:28 PM • permalinkThe main thing to come out of the blog awards is that each year it shows up Sam de Shithouse as a desperate tryhard. The highlight last year was when his victorious blog posted the logo “Best Austrailia or New Zealand Blog”, a typo that remained up for some time.
Of course, this year Sammy has removed his begging post and all subsequent posts by well-wishers in a vain effort to make it look like he is not a goggle-eyed blowfish.
Wonder how he would have gone without a major newspaper portal pointing traffic to his blog, and if it wasn’t his job, and if he didn’t go begging for votes?
For these, and other reasons too numerous to mention, Sam deserves a special award.

Magpie, isn’t the Bass Hill debacle one where the land next door to the high school was sold to a developer and only after the sale went through the plans for the new islamic school came out of hiding?
I’ve lost the links (got a new pc), but I did come across a site with a lot of info about it, and plenty of comments from the locals.
Apart from the fact that it’s against the regulations for the Dept of Ed to sell land for a school next to a school, there are issues with the lack of community consultation, the increased traffic and associated congestion, and lastly, of course, the fact that there are plenty of islamic schools already and the locals don’t want another in that place.
Back on topic, now,
Yay, Tim! I voted a few times, and while Shire Network News didn’t get best podcast, I still voted for them.

You might want to check out DUmmie FUnnies to see if it’s to your taste. The DUmmies swarmed the comments section and displayed their unusual density and total lack of a sense of humor. Pretty funny.
