NUMBER ISSUES ADDRESSED

Reader Greg M. solves Mary-Anne Toy’s math worries:

Obviously the solution is to increase Australia’s population, thereby reducing the per capita emissions!

Didn’t think of that, did you, Mary-Anne?

UPDATE. An Associated Press headline:

Gore: Nations must take lead in warming

We’re doing our best, chief.

    Cheers

  2. What if China reduced its population, thus… Oh, wait, that won’t work will it?

  3. Tim, I demand that you give this hilarious Sarah Silverman video a post of its own!

It’s a pisstake of Al Gore, and the link comes courtesy of The Polarizer.

  5. I admit it, I have not been thinking globally and acting locally. I’m going to do my bit to help Australia “take the lead in warming.” I’m getting an airconditioner fitted to my motor bike.

  6. We’re doing our best here in SW Ohio.  Burning carbons in the fireplace for as long as the wood lasts or until warmening finally takes hold.

  7. Here in Canada someone recently pointed out that the best way to reduce our increase in greenhouse gas emissions was to halt immigration.

That fell like like a drunk off a cliff with the PC crowd.

  8. I agree that the world needs more Australians. Just make sure you don’t breed more of that envirotard mutation. We’ve got ‘em all over the place here and boy do they make a stink.

  10. “Didn’t think of that, did you, Mary-Anne?”

Possibly she did think of it, but who would do her?

  11. Hmmmm.

Obviously the solution is to increase Australia’s population, thereby reducing the per capita emissions!

Well **I’m** willing to do my part in increasing the number of Australians.

Send over a couple hundred very attractive young Australian girls and I’ll get right on top of it.

    ...

    So to speak.
