NOAH’S BARK
A familiar name surfaces at a seal-supporting southern shoutfest:
About 30 anti-sealing protesters are venting their anger at the Canadian consulate in Melbourne …
Protest spokesman Noah Hannibal said they were demanding charges against the Farley Mowat first officer and captain be dropped immediately.
Leading chicken activist Hannibal was last noticed being frightened by Queensland meat workers. He’ll be a little safer shouting at Canadian diplomats.
UPDATE. The Telegraph’s John Tiedemann depicts Sea Shepherd slobsack Paul Watson’s brave flight from the French:

UPDATE II. Noah Hannibal recalls his trauma at the hands of those Queensland meatworkers:
That was a pretty full on experience. We chained ourselves to the machinery on the slaughterhouse kill floor, so that they would have to shut down operations. We managed to shut them down and stop the killing line for half a day. For a few hours we were surrounded by over forty abattoir workers screaming abuse at us. Then the owner came in with an angle grinder.
When he saw that this wasn’t going to intimidate us to unlock ourselves he started shoving it in people’s faces. There were four of us locked down in there and this one girl was close to breaking down, so the slaughterhouse owner kept shoving it in her face, taking enjoyment in the fact that she was so traumatised. It was one of the most cowardly things I had ever seen. This is what they were doing to humans with a slew of media waiting outside the building. So you can imagine what they do to the cows when there’s no one else around.
UPDATE III. Canadian resistance:
Fisheries Minister Loyola Hearn said the [Sea Shepherd] arrests were made within Canadian waters. At a news conference after the raid, he told reporters the officers had stopped “a bunch of money-sucking manipulators” from interfering with the hunt.

“a bunch of money-sucking manipulators”???
Was hasn’t Paco Companies gotten involved yet? I mean, he’s already gotten his hooks into Jesse
JamesJackson’s Rainbow/PUSH and is making millions off the “hire us and pay us millions or we’ll call you racists!” line of professional services to whitey corporations. Um, on second thought, maybe I shouldn’t have divulged that.Posted by wronwright on 2008 04 14 at 01:44 PM • permalinkAnd another Canadian politician says, “Sod off, swampy.”

Slaughter them, skin them, disembowel them, dismember them then send the good bits to the butcher so I can cook a steak on the barbie and wash it down with a nice drop of shiraz. Its called civilisation.
What the fuck does he think abbatoir workers do with cattle?
Now if it was kiwis and sheep I’d have an idea what he was getting at.So you can imagine what they do to the cows when there’s no one else around.
I can imagine them killing’em, cuttin’em up into tasty, ready for the grill steaks. What else are they gonna to do with’em…..set them free, to roam lush green rolling pastures till they die a beautiful, painfree, natural death?
#6 Thanks Andy, not all Canadians are wimps.

If only we could get the Human Rights Commission to go after the animal rights activists….
