MOGPIE

Spoke to the Wogblogger earlier; having surrendered the ancient art of her Morgan, she’s now inspecting crap modern art at the Tate gallery. Here’s Mogpie, Wogblogger’s compelling modernist entry in next year’s Turner Prize:

It’s a pie on a Morgan. Doesn’t get much artsier, does it?

  1. Not just any pie, a pork pie.

  2. GENIUS!

The symbolism is just so profound, I’m overwhelmed.

  3. I don’t get the symbolism, but it’s a beautiful car. I’m looking for a restored ‘39 Packard touring sedan, myself, but this would certainly be a nice substitute. I note that the V6 Roadster is supposed to be available this Fall in the U.S. The Aero 8 is just about the most beautiful car I’ve seen in a long while.

  5. Interestingly enough, just last week when I was out near the local mall I saw six Morgans parked in a row next to one of the restaurants.  I don’t know if I had ever seen one outside of a show before that…

  6. I had a genuine English pork pie back in the 70s.  I’m surprised that didn’t leave a giant dent in the hood bonnet of that Morgan.

  8. Much more appealing than a tin of artist manure.
