MINIVAN DESTROYED

The IDF has evidently given up using those low-wattage boutique missiles that politely enter vehicles via pre-existing apertures before performing a surgical amputation and evaporating prior to striking the floor:

In Gaza City, an Israeli air strike destroyed a minivan and killed a man identified as an expert in building homemade rockets.

The missile strike wounded two people and instantly killed the 32-year-old driver, who was a local commander for the armed wing of the ruling Hamas movement, witnesses said.

If only he’d been protected by the driver’s canopy and the vehicle’s rear ramp.

  1. Another disproportionate response by the JOOOOZZ. Haven’t they heard of an eye for an eye? Should have slightly maimed him by crashing another minivan into his rear. That’s the Moslem way to do things.

  2. Those low-wattage boutique missiles are mucho expensevo and also only usuable on vehicles with large red X’s on their roofs for an aim point.

People are so clueless about military weaponry. It’s shameful, it is.

Next thing ya know, they’ll be confusing our bulletts that can go around corners, up stairwells with the bullets that only target bad people and will drop come to a dead stop when “innocent” people get in the way.

Many people are clueless about weapons, military or not, Grimmy.  Usually due to a lack of schooling in physics, and an overexposure to Hollywood.

  5. armed wing of the ruling Hamas movement

I’m always impressed with political parties that have armed wings. The war of ideas is too peaceful sometimes.

Like the armed wing of the much-beloved IRA?

That’s setting the bar pretty low.

  9. That’s setting the bar pretty low.

If you can launch a homemade rocket without killing the crew, you are deemed “expert”.  Darwinism in action.

  12. Well, I don’t blame the IDF for putting those special weapons aside.  What did they get for their trouble when they used something that not only didn’t kill everyone in the area, but actually saved a man’s life by automatically cauterizing his wound?  Weeks of bad press.  Better to just blow them to bits and get it over with.

Everything I know about the lethality of weapons, I learned from Star Wars and the A-Team.

  15. I heard that that these new missiles also fail to recognise and avoid toasting the Ambulance personnel - unless they are actually ferrying patients instead of militia operatives.

Ah, the A-Team!!  My Dad and I would watch that, just so we could snicker at the lack of casualties after the huge amounts of expended ammunition.  Made a low-budget cowboy flick pale in comparison.

And by using “lethality” to describe weapons, PW,
    you are in good company.

  17. I await The Age’s and The Australian’s angry articles condemning the Jooos for returning to brutal, crude attack methods on vehicles, when they KNOW they can do surgical strikes with unseen but very noisy stealth weapons.

After all, didn’t their ‘investigative journalists’ PROVE that was the case, and didn’t Media Welsh study their conduct?

  18. Thanks Jeff. After I sent the post, “lethality” seemed to take on a connotation akin to “mortality” in my mind, and I certainly didn’t mean to imply that weapons were dropping dead all around us.

Then again, there just might have been more damaged weapons on The A-Team than injured people, so perhaps I wasn’t that far off.

  19. Too right, the IDF are doing a damn good job of ridding Gaza of evil doers hell bent on patching up bodies ripped to shreds by schrapnel. These torn limbs need to be left bleeding to show an example to the world that the IDF is a heroic force that will not be dictated to.

I couldn’t have put it better myself.

Miranda, you head tilting moron, Major-General Henry Shrapnel was not a German, in fact, he was English.

Did you ever consider that maybe, if the palestinians weren’t always trying to destroy the state of Israel, the Israeli’s would be rather happy to sit back and enjoy the mediterranean climate?  Before glowball womanising causes the whole middle east to disappear under water that is…

Either that, or they ran out of ammo, as I recall.  That’s when the A-Team developed the wacky weapons out of parts on hand…..generally hilarious in nature, never lethal!

    Defending the lads
    On their Jolly Jihads.

    Since there’s nothing to lose,
They use Mosques to shoot Joos,
    As the women adore them
    And stand there before them.

    But Miranda, Beware!
    It’s a little unfair,
    If you shed your disguise
    Before Jihadi eyes,
    It’s not bullets you’ll greet,
    You’ll be Jihadi Meat!
