MEDIA INFLUENCE NOTED

George W. Bush and Muslims are polling poorly in the US. Why? Well, in Bush’s case, any analyst will tell you it’s because of the war, Katrina, Dick Cheney’s killing spree, and so on. But the reason Muslims are polling so badly—46% of Americans currently have a negative view of Islam—is simply because, as James Zogby explains, politicians, authors and media commentators have demonised the Arab world since 2001.

That’s like when Bush says, “Islam is a religion of peace.” and then some psychotic Muslim decapitates someone and then blows up a mosque….naturally, it’s Bush’s fault.

Take the case of the Congress vetoing the UAE firm owning 6 US ports. The liberal Democrats helped to crush that.

  11. Islam is the religious equivalent of the Borg (Resistance is futile, assimilate or die”) without the added benefit of technology… I honestly wonder how many of these leftist lemmings will remain in defense of Muslims once they find themselves on their knees, hands bound, with the revolver pressed against the back of their heads? They don’t seem to comprehend that the Muslims hate them as much as everyone else. Simply rallying for their “cause” will not make them immune to the “cleansing” as this global blight spreads.
I make distinction between the “radical” and the “moderate” Muslim, for while the former is overt and upfront about his hatred, the later tacitly approves of the destruction by either his silence or his lame outcries (with caveats to near-justification)

  14. This latest crap reminds me of something I read awhile back, wherein a European diplomat criticized an American president.  Who is the American President and who is the European diplomat?

    America’s “Irresponsible” President
Is the “Chief Culprit of this War”

One of Europe’s foreign ministers denounced America’s president as the “chief culprit of this war” and went on to bemoan the “American people” for having been betrayed by such an irresponsible leader.  “I don’t see much future for the Americans” added the head of state of the aforementioned minister.  “It’s a decayed country. And they have their racial problem, and the problem of social inequalities … My feelings against Americanism are feelings of hatred and deep repugnance. … How can one expect a State like that to hold together — a country where everything is built on the dollar.

America’s “historically unique and shameless ill treatment of truth and of right”, he added that the “so-called” president was “guilty of a series of the worst crimes against international law”...“first, he incites war, then falsifies the causes, then odiously wraps himself in a cloak of Christian hypocrisy, and slowly but surely leads mankind to war, not without calling God to witness the honesty of his attack …

“A threatening opposition was gathering over the head of this man. He guessed that the only salvation or him lay in diverting public attention from home to foreign policy … Thus began the increasing efforts of the American President to create conflict … For years this man harboured one desire — that a conflict should break out somewhere in the world.  [The fact is that one country] has at last become tired of being mocked by him in such an unworthy way fills us all … I think, all … decent people in the world, with deep satisfaction.

  19. I’d like to take a small slab out of a very interesting article in today’s edition of
    The Sydney Morning Herald:

New bylaws championed by the ambitious mayor of Tangerang, a satellite city on Jakarta’s outskirts, aim to drive out gamblers, drunks and prostitutes. They are enforced by a small army of “public order officers” who cruise the streets, able to arrest anyone at whim.

The move has created a de facto curfew for women in Tangerang. If they are caught alone at night they must prove they are not prostitutes.

As well as banning “physical intimacy” in public places, a bylaw states a woman “who behaves suspiciously” on streets or in hotels, theatres, coffee shops - even private houses - will be jailed.

Tangerang is not the only regional administration to introduce bylaws reflecting sharia - Islamic law. And a proposed national anti-pornography law will ban public kissing and any clothing considered alluring. Baring a navel would earn a jail term.

According to the authors of the article, these draconian moves are being supported by ... guess who? Moderate Muslims!!

  24. One thing the riots over the cartoons have done is awaken many Americans to the actual nature of the ROP like nothing else - even the sawing off of heads.  Of course, the media wasn’t able to bury the cartoon riots the way they regularly bury the other.  AND they had the added bonus of brown-nosing flying their multi-cult colors.  Besides, if you’re a craven coward sensitive maybe the Islamists will let you live longer.

I’ve asked this question before: as the Lamestream Media actively drives Bush’s “approval rating” down with slanted media-generated polls and distorted opinion pieces disguised as news, at what point will they demand he resign?

  38. I can’t take credit for these questionsr but I thank whoever for highlighting the reasons the Mus-liars have demonised themselves:
“What other society makes suicide bomb vests in children’s sizes?
What other society dances in the street when some of their own massacre the innocent?
What other society seems to settle ALL internal disputes with a Kalashnikov?
What other society, when offered peace and stability, spits on both and chooses chaos?
What other society beheads innocents on the Internet to “advance” their “political” cause?
What other society considers the abuse and subjugation of women a “sacred” duty?” etc., etc.
So Zogby assigns the US populace’s disgust and contempt for the Mus-liars to the yellow-bellied US Press. Thus, does he earn contempt (disgust be upon him).

  42. Harmony day is just around the corner. If you don’t know, this is a government funded project that promotes harmony, brings down barriers between people and addresses issues of racism.

Tim, if you started your own religion you might be able to get a grant $$ as seen in the how to get a grant section on the site.

    Give it go!

In 2005, the priority areas for community funding were: Inter-faith issues (eg. tim tam religion), you could show your yearly ritual, so not to scare the community (eg worship Tim Tam biscuits on a sandy beach)  You could worship next to the Christians who swing incense and smelly stuff and sing prayers and talk of love. They could perform their rituals next to the simulated Stone Throwing Satan ritual held by another religion.

They could hold it at the Opera House
(closest thing to Mecca here) while chanting and painting no war on the tiles.

What fun! What faith! What Ha-money!

On the contrary, it will just confirm their rock-hard conviction that the Dutch are corrupt to the last degree, and weak-kneed fools to boot. As for passing the examination, traditional Islam has a solution: For jihad, anything is justified, including systematic lying. If the Dutch expect to survive the coming century they will have to get a lot more serious.

The Muslim reaction to three blasphemous cartoons in an obscure Danish newspaper was more violent than the American reaction to terrorists flying planes into our buildings and killing 3,000 people. This statement, in itself, is absolutely unbelievable. After 9/11 no embassies were firebombed, no people were kidnapped, no mobs chanting “Death” were formed…just a random report or two of some ignorant redneck somewhere who spray-painted a mosque or threatened a Muslim, and who was quickly dealt with by authorities. Now after a daily drumbeat of suicide bombings, beheadings, riots, death-videos, kidnappings, murders, my belief that Islam is a religion of peace is quickly fading…
