MEANING CLARIFIED

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad explains things to Time magazine:

TIME: Why do your supporters chant “Death to America”?

Ahmadinejad: When they chanted that slogan, it means they hate aggression ...

Mahmoud’s reply brings it to mind, for some reason.
Black is white; Hate is love; Madness is sanity.

  7. The crust of the man is astounding:

TIME: Are you ready to open direct negotiations with the U.S.?

Ahmadinejad: We have given them a letter, a lengthy letter. We say the U.S. Administration should change its behavior, and then everything will be solved. It was the U.S. which broke up relations with us. We didn’t take that position. And then they should make up for it.

Odd he doesn’t remember the little incident that lead to the “break up” given that he was one of the participants.

  10. Hey thats not as bad as Khatami’s latest sermon from Iran.

It sure was lot more fiery than the toned down version he gave to the Harvard audience last week.

Orwell would be rolling in his grave right now at this primitive display of “2 minutes hate”:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060919/ap_on_re_mi_ea/muslims_pope
    ——————————————
In Iran, supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei used the comments to call for protests against the United States. He argued that while the pope may have been deceived into making his remarks, the words give the West an “excuse for suppressing Muslims” by depicting them as terrorists.

“Those who benefit from the pope’s comments and drive their own arrogant policies should be targeted with attacks and protests,” he said, referring to the United States.

Ahmadinejad: When they chanted that slogan, it means they hate aggression ...

    It’s weird.
They’re chanting what they chant with the meaning they say it has…
    and..

We chanting this “Islam is the Religion of Peace” and our whole kinder gentler “cant we all just get along” hearts and minds crap…

is almost certainly going to force us into a full genocidal war.

Funny how that works out, isn’t it?

Son <comes running in from play with neighbour kids>: Quick! Give me the keys to daddy’s tool shed; I’m going to make a sword and chop them up!

    Me; Why are you angry?

Son: because they said mean things about me!

Me: So, how will chopping them up solve the problem and make them like you?

    Son: because it will! <sulk>
