well, credit where it’s due: kudos for publishing a dissenting voice. However, despite the response, I didn’t “read in bad faith”; those comments were a genuine reaction to what I read.
Acronyms and short-hand are for bypassing common assumptions. Since right-wing Christians are “bad”, it is not “racist” (that is, “bad”) to slander them and their religion. Since Muslims are not “bad” (i.e., “right-wingers”), it is racist to slander them and their religion.
It’s sort of the way pre-schoolers try to grasp and define the world around them.

Of course we would, you arse. You don’t think we’d spend all this time and energy on DENIALISM if we didn’t have a plan for it? This whole warming-the-earth business is taking way too long to pay off.
I write now to show that speaking ill of Tim Blair doesn’t always lead to a spike in visits, no matter how much you beg for one. Why, with the post I linked to above I really dont expect more than maybe 200 or 300 visitors above my normal pittance of 20 or so on a wildly good day.
As a matter of fact, I will make people here this bet. If I get so much as 500 extra visitors from this comment in the next week, I will actually spend all donations I receive on a new iMac. (Be sure to donate so I’ll actually have the money to spend on a new iMac.)
I do this to show that you are not as genrous with your disdain and contempt as you like to think. :p
