Car thieves attack in north-west Sydney:
One of the men is described as 30-35-years-old, 175cm, clean shaven with short dark hair.
So says the Sydney Morning Herald, via AAP. Slightly more information on the thieves is available from NSW police:
All have been described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern in appearance.

It’s rubbish. How do they expect law enforcement to finger anyone if there’s no description. How can others of us do our civic duty when we don’t know what we’re looking out for?

LOLI doubt that it was a 1985 Skyline.More likely to be a GTR R34.This is the model much sought after by the “men of no appearance” car rebirthing-driveby shooting-ATM thieving fraternity especially since the WRX has evolved into something more attractive to the cardigan wearing set.Of course it might have been a 1985 model simply being requisitioned by some of Sheik al-Hilaly’s followers responding to his recent call to act as “soldiers for Rudd” and needing suitably modest transport to blend in with brain dead Labor supporters,a Merc would be a bit ostentatious.Fortunately these “soldiers” have their own pistols so it probably wont be necessary for them to knock off any Police Stations.

The Skyline will likely be used in a robbery or a shooting, then dumped in some industrial area (and set on fire to destroy any evidence). Unless it was, as Lew suggests, the street-racer model: then it will be stripped for parts before being dumped and set ablaze.
At least that is what hoodlums who get out of a Mercedes to steal a Japanese compact do here in the States.

Here in Toronto a few years ago, a serial “bedroom” rapist was loose. The police held a press conference to announce the suspect’s description, which I listened to while driving.
The speaker cleared his throat nervously, and apologized profusely and repeatedly for including the word “black” in the suspect’s description. Then he apologized some more.
It was pathetic and disgusting. I was so angry I had to pull over and calm down. I suppose we should be grateful that they eventually got around to mentioning the rapist’s race…but the Toronto Star didn’t mention it. Aaarghh! I’m angry again!!
