KOMRADE KATE

Keep your eye on Labor’s Kate Ellis during parliamentary question time (ABC, now). She looks like an East German gymnast trying to follow a steroids hearing conducted entirely in English.

  1. Saw her on Offsiders on Sunday. It looked like she should have been on Kerry Anne selling floor cleaner.

“Moira, you’ll never again have to worry about those performance enhancing drug stains.”

  3. Cripes, what a dial! You are right Tim, she looks like an East-German truck mechanic.

    Gottinhimmel.

  4. Her expression is bizarre. Perhaps she’s still in pain from a Kevin-administered counselling session?

  5. Has a bit of a ‘my brain hurts’ look.

Ja, der nummer 5 piston ist klinken aber ich pushed it back into alignment mit mein lil finger, Herr Kapitan ...

  6. Hey, she might perform like in infomercial shill, but she ain’t too shabby. In fact, I don’t remember a better looking politician.

  7. She didn’t actually finish her uni course before being catapaulted into Federal Parliament and eventually Scoring a spot as one of kRudd’s handmaidens.

  8. Beats looking at Gillard!! I loved, though, how she was positioned centre of camera whilst they were in Opposition. Coincidence?

  9. Am I looking at the wrong picture?  Or am I lacking context?  The link goes to a picture of a women in Nomex clothing in front of an Air Force fire truck.  Not someone in a session of parliament.

  10. C’mon, I do not care much for her politics, but she looks different in these:

  12. Kate’s a babe. I’d desert the right wing for her.

I loved, though, how she was positioned centre of camera whilst they were in Opposition. Coincidence?

    No coincidence.

  13. #12 Actually, where’s the Traceee column on Kevin using chicks for eye candy?

  14. #12 CL, that still of Rudd in Parliament looks like he stumbled onto the set of an amateur production of Desperate Housewives.  And yes, Kate is a Babe.

  15. Granted she’s good looking for a politician, but that’s like saying “I ate a shit sandwich made from a lovely rye bread”.

  16. She posing in front of one of my favourite vehicles in the whole world!! (a version of it anyway). Nothing beats the fun of using a water cannon…

  19. She always looks like that. She always has that grimmace on her face during question time, i’ve noticed.

She also tries to lean over to her right to get her face on camera more often.

Also seems like Labor have deliberately put all their attractive women on the benches where the primary camera shots are.

It’s purely coincidental that Joolya just misses 16:9 EMA*.

  23. At least she does not look as bad as some of the ‘Olga from the Volga’ ‘hausfrau’ of the ALP.

  24. I reckon she looks like someone’s put cascara in her lunchtime midoori shooters; WTF is the silly bint doing in a flightsuit in front of a crashtruck? There’s nothing in her history to indicate anything but a juvenile loathing for the airforce or anything else military.

And #18, my thoughts exactly.I can’t get over the number of times I’ve seen things along the lines of "I thought I’d give him a go, but I’m starting to be sorry I voted Labor......." pop up in op/ed and comments around the place lately; FFS, how gullible and thick are these bloody people? No wonder Danos Direct and the like are in no danger of receivership, these stupid bastards would buy a used car from this bloke.

Perhaps it’s time to examine the Heinlein franchise.

  25. Tim,
You really need to update this post. I just turned on the ABC to a program called “Grossology” featuring some kind of alien creature farting into a console as some form of password.

Or maybe it was Question Time. I’m not sure.

  28. Re strategically placed “eye candy”.

Many years ago I attended an induction course with 15 guys and just the one female. The obligatory photograph was taken and it was duly passed around the office.

One old warhorse took one look and commented dryly:

“Typical isn’t it? They always put the c… in the middle”.

  29. Oh, I don’t know. She doesn’t look too vile to me. Kind of reminds me of Ilsa.

OK, I’m giving my age away here. (Not to mention my fetish.)

  30. Kate is a babe.  One great, hammer-throwing, shot-putting babe.

  31. Listen, when you progressive Aussies finally get rid of the sinful internal combustion engine, Kate will have a great future in agriculture.

But she’ll have to be careful not to stop too short or that plow will run right up her ass…

  32. #20 You are insulting Endora- she’s much prettier than jihad julia.

BTW - Kate might be a “babe” but she was behind the door when they gave out vrains.
Besides, she’s just "so out of touch"
I thought it was “Kevin 07”, not “05” - or is she right on the limit?

    ha,ha.
