KOLD IN KANSAS

The Wichita Eagle suggests a version of the Gore Effect:

Do you suppose Al Gore upset Mother Nature by complaining about global warming, so she’s showing him what she can really do when she gets angry?

It’s as good a theory as any. Frozen Kansans are lately given to wondering: “Just How Much Snow Can Kansas Get?”

  1. I guess it just goes to prove God has a sense of humor.

    And doesn’t particularly like lefties…

“Mount Baker Ski Area, near Seattle, set the U.S. record in the 1998-99 season with 1,140 inches. That´s a lot of snow” - the Kansas farmer link

29 metres? My Oath thats a lot of snow.

  3. How much snow can Kansas get?  I don’t believe there is any upper limit.  Just think, there are two infinites - the extent of the universe and the gore effect!

No doubt the Indians will be up in arms that the umpire is unfairly favouring them.

  19. I wish we’d get a little global warming here in Iowa. We had thirteen inches of snow on Tuesday evening, and the walkways are still sheets of ice almost a week later—not to mention the chilling wind that will flay your skin from your bones if you step outside. Seriously, if it’ll make this place warmer, I’ll go buy a whole pharmacy’s worth of aerosol cans and set them on fire in the college quad.
