KIDS & CAMERAS
Students at a Queensland university might be booted for posting a sex video featuring a female student on an internal campus website. Nick at The Thin Man Returns comments:
She has sex in front of a camera with a ‘boyfriend’ and is then surprised when said exploit ends up on the net.
What’s she studying? Humanities?
Humanities? Hah!
Now pay witness…
There can be no knowable truth evident in the written word, other than that which is the code of its creator…
Nor is there truth in anything else that might be said out aloud, or written down.
Behold, truth itself is merely a subtext to greater meaning, hidden in the resonance of fallen trees unseen and unheard, deep in the forest.
Gaia Akbah!
Geez, girls, you think you’d learn the lesson by now. If it ain’t professional, the knees close when the lens cover opens.

Does anybody have a copy of this video.
We should at least study the evidence prior to condeming this poor lass.

It could very well have been that her boyfriend had placed a hidden camera- or left the computer camera running whilst they had sex. These things are pretty easy to setup these days. Moreover the bed and (computer) desk in student rooms are fairly close together; it’d be dead easy for the dude to leave his computer notebook -with a webcam on record. So don’t blame the girl just yet.

Additionally, if it were a hidden camera, there might be suggestions of pending criminal action.
The telling phrase for me is ‘It is understood the video was recorded last year by one of the men, who was in a relationship with the woman at the time...’
I’m not surprised by the way we feel to rush in with the hidden camera defence on the young woman’s behalf, however. We’re deeply conditioned to believe in ‘innocent women (and children)’ even when so much evidence around us indicates the female of the species is just as capable of poor judgement and behaviour as the male.
Witness the modern phenomena of ‘Girls Gone Wild’, girls pissed in the gutter, girls committing violent crime, girls going home for a foursome with three guys they just met then getting all upset when the situation gets rough.
That’s not to mention at the really scary end of the scale the likes of Myra Hindley, Rosemary West, Karla Faye Tucker, et al.

Just because she had sex once last year in a guy’s dorm, doesn’t mean that the world has the right to see her in action.Posted by daddy dave on 2006 05 07 at 01:48 PM • permalinkYes, perspective please - if she didn’t give permission, then the guy who posted the video is morally in the wrong (regardless of the legal status).

I think you missed the point of this thread.

Hardly.
Nick the Realist with little sympathy for stupid people of either gender and no patience for sexist snags who push the line that females are somehow inherently ‘better’ than men.
