KERRY FANS RALLY AT ONE OF HIS FIVE HOUSES
Wonkette on the now-concluded Ohio recount:
We lost, everybody. L-O-S-T. Just concentrate on your Canadian visa applications; if you screw that up, you can’t blame Deibold.
Presumably she’s addressing the likes of Boston’s John Kerry Six, a proud mini-collective who’ll never surrender:
About a half dozen supporters of John Kerry are holding vigil in front of his house, still hoping for a Kerry presidency.
The little knot of demonstrators, calling themselves the Coalition Against Election Fraud, stood shivering in the cold yesterday, hoisting signs and pressing fliers into the hands of bewildered passersby. Taxi drivers, neighbors digging cars out of the snow, and Beacon Hill residents who happened to be strolling by were subjected to earnest pleas to join the cause.
’‘Who knows? Maybe we’ll overturn the election,” said Sheila Parks, a vigil organizer.
In any case, Kerry wasn’t home to take notice of yesterday’s demonstrators. A woman answered the door and promised to deliver a message when he returns from vacation.
Kerry’s old high school band had twice as many members.
How much more pathetic can this get? A handful of people standing outside his house hoping to overturn an election that is long over? Do these people not have lives? Do these people not have jobs? How long before frostbite sets in?
Hey, I’m headed for Minnesota. Maybe if I stand outside of Walter Mondale’s house, I can get him elected.
Heck with that. I’m headed for Nebraska. It’s not too late for William Jennings Bryan.
But, but, but… Bu$h liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiied… kids diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiied…
It’s the same old “But I didn’t know anybody that voted for Bush” - it’s an extremely rude shock to these people to find that 61 million Americans actually do support Bush, and an even bigger percentage didn’t put in the effort to have him voted out. The wacky left who would comprise the Kerry-Almost-A-Full-Half-Dozen-Crew probably thought that since everyone they knew voted for Kerry or at least didn’t like Bush, therefore Bush must have only a handful of supporters in Wyoming, Utah, Texas and Tennessee.
There are quite a few people in the US that seriously think Bush stole the election. Just check out DailyKos and Democratic Underground.

Posted by Andrew Ian Dodge on 2004 12 31 at 12:55 AM • permalinkThese people are helping to advance some ideas that were posted on blogs like Kos after Bush won.
One idea was to contest the election any way that was possible. Failing that, they are supposed to keep the idea of a ‘stolen election’ alive by constantly suggesting ways it COULD have been stolen.
We could be seeing good foot soldiers carrying out ideas that were suggested a few hours after Bush was declared the winner.

Posted by richard mcenroe on 2004 12 31 at 03:26 AM • permalinkI think the half dozen protesting about the stolen election are from Oz ... they had been protesting about the stolen generation here for about 10 years and asking for an apology from the Oz government without much success. They can stay in Beacon Hills for the next 10 years. I didn’t think we could export useless protesters until tomorrow when the US-Oz FTA commences. I’m sure that’s Tom Keneally standing behind the bloke in the blue jacket ... check the diminutive bearded leprechaun with a red hat against the wall ... maybe I’m mistaken. I better get another VB from the fridge. Happy New Year.
The Kerry 6 are even more pathetic than the delusional and insane, because at least the insane have some imagination.
I mean, come on, if you’re a leftist moonbat who wants to pretend s/he lives in an alternate reality, why settle for pretending Kerry is President? Why not just pretend Dean actually beat Kerry in the Primary (or Kucinich or Mumia for that matter) before rolling over Bush in the General election?
Mr Blue,
Even us sci-fi geeks have more sense than these twits. This would be more like if they were trying to get “Lost In Space” back on the air…

I suspect that John Kerry isn’t even “president” of the house that those protesters are standing in front of.
