IT’S ALL ABOUT IRAQ

“Bush and Blair be warned and get out of Muslim countries,” declare leaflets dispersed following hundreds of bombings. “Your days of ruling Muslim countries are over.”

The bombings took place in Bangladesh.

  1. These attacks in Bangladesh, now, hmmm…do we have an embassy there? Is there an American importer walking in the souk? A textile merchant helping the Bangladeshis to make a few bucks? Has to be. Otherwise, why explode fifty bombs simultaneously all over the place? Hoping one of them might nail an American? This scattershot approach just might be a great idea. They could detonate 3000 bombs at once in, say, Egypt. Gotta think that one of them would blow up a Westerner. This is brilliant.

  2. You see! Bush’s Forever War is cloning terrorists in Iraq Bangladesh like some kinda Hellstrom’s Hive knockoff. How could the Chimpler so easily deceive the red state rubes into sending their precious offspring to the hellish sandpit of Iraq Bangladesh for NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING!?!? Mother Sheehan was oh-so-tragically right about those PNAC neo-cons sacrificing our young on the altar of Zionist expansionism. Progressyves the world over must redouble our efforts to bring Western troops out of Iraq Bangladesh, with or without honor. WWGD (What Would Gaia Do?)

  3. Hmm, blowing up fellow Muslims in Bangladesh is going to make Bush and Blair leave Iraq and Afghanistan?

It’s like bank robbers in a standoff with police grabbing one of their fellow robbers and holding a gun to his head and threatening to shoot if their demands aren’t met.

  6. Well, Bangladesh is a Commonwealth country, so there is some relation to Britain right there.

None to Blair, of course, since the Commonwealth’s titular head is the Queen (and its effective head is whatever committee runs it), IIRC.

Tongueboy’s comment reminds me I need to get some of those white oval stickers, and get “PNAC” put in them. It’ll drive all the right people absolutely apeshit crazy.

  14. Actually, the Bangladeshi government currently resides in an (in my opinion) beautiful complex of buildings designed by the great (Jewish!) American architect Louis Kahn.

I’m sure that, somewhere, some brave anti-colonialist academic or grandstanding manipulative ‘religious’ demagogue has made the argument that this represents some sort of sinister Zionist-American cultural imperialist plot.

    That’s what it’s about.

A woman rubbed a pie all over his face and he said"you stupid bitch you forgot the tomato sauce”.frantic fran is gooing and gaaing all over him because he has won an award but forty years ago she would have been protest marching from uni and spitting on the troops.
She and the rest at abc and sbs and smh and age are figuratively speaking STILL SPITTING ON THE TROOPS and any little CRAWLING efforts, inspired by the passage of time will not save them.

Last time I was in Bangladesh was just after our imperialist adventure in Kuwait (‘91) when our amphibious task group took a break from our normal pillaging to dump off a few hundred pallets of MREs and other invasive American cultural products disguised as “food,” “medicine,” and other “aid.”

That’s the United States for you, never failing to take advantage of a bad situation to lord it over Muslims.

  31. Your days of ruling Muslim countries are over.

I certainly hope so. Ruling a Muslim country is much akin to riding a bicycle with your pockets stuffed full of rusty tacks.  This makes about as much sense as everything else in Muslim World Land.  In Iraq, groups of Iraqis hurl stones at the coaltion soldiers who are helping remove debris left behind from an exploding idiot.  When you ask this same crowd if they really want the coaltion to leave immediately, they respond, “NO! They must stay until we have security”  The logic is mind melting.

  33. Soeaking of bombs and babies,on a current affair er yes I watched Ray-Story on 11 year old, second generation Hindu schoolgirl who won a Dandenong Council Essay Competition. Her story was about a girl suicide bomber in Iraq who hates American troops and blows herself up,killing many of them. Some small time poncy youth fiction writer judged the comp and a councillor is outraged by his choice.
Ms Naidoo was looking very pleased with herself and her choice of subject, she is anti the Iraq war (at 11)and her parents look pretty smug about it all too.
O.K. be proud of your daughter’s talents but why thrust this subject into the limelight at a time like this?

Bangladesh is the world’s largest producer of hemp. As that sinks into the left’s consciousness, I expect demonstrations to break out in favor of invasion all across the country.

Other than that, we’ll probably invade them for the same oil that we were after in Grenada, Panama, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan.

As for different color- the US is a multi-ethnic society. Which of our colors exactly are they different from?

Wherein they award the title of “authentic” to any brown-skinned third-world indigene fantasy they can exploit to support the sort of comfy, middle-class self-loathing that got them hippie ‘tang in college and pats of approval from their professors.

It’s a simple enough matter to identity politic the piss out of them before fact-bombing their potemkin villages.
