ISRAEL UNBLAMED
Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad urges his people to blame someone other than the Israelis:
In a rare case of self-criticism, a senior official in the Hamas-led government said the Palestinians have bungled the aftermath of Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and called on residents to stop blaming Israel for all their woes.
Well, it’s difficult to blame Israel for this:
Hamas gunmen shot and killed a Palestinian motorist on Monday when he refused to stop at a roadblock they had set up in the southern Gaza Strip, witnesses said.

What is it with these arab types? They run roadblocks and are surprised when the angry young man with the automatic rifle shoots them…

"After their release the men met with Palestinian Prime Minister...,but first appealed at a brief news conference for foreign journalists not to be deterred from covering the plight of the Palestinians in the volatile coastal strip." Its time for Centani-Khaled to return to “palestine” to report on the plight of the paleos.
Now that a flicker of light has penetrated the hate fog of the paleos, his reporting might be a little more confused since he has consistently blamed the Israelis (who have only small plights such as Hamas rockets daily fired into their country or paleo suicide murderers, or a paleo government controlled by terrorists Hamas that declares the destruction of Jews or a nuclear tipped Iranian madman declaring the same, etc). We cheer you on, Khaled-Centani, to your return to Gaza, along with all the other Eason Jordans and Peter Arnetts and faux photographers who have all put the west in danger."We heard that a promising future was waiting for us and for Gaza - and so we were optimistic that the blood of our martyrs and injured and the suffering of the entire country hadn’t been in vain.”
Translation: “We didn’t understand that when the Israelis left, we’d have to give up the dole, and work for a living, and police ourselves, and stop shooting at each other over cross looks and minor arguments, and in general behave like grownups do in the civilized part of the world.”
#7, Rebeccah, Well, you’ve done it again. Hit the nail...and all that.
The Palestinians are mostly ignorant sods who follow what they are told. I admit that I’ve begun to think of them as a particularly benighted people, mere puppets. First their brother Arabs set them up and kept them as permanent stateless people to thrown around in any argument about Israel. Then the anti-Semites of the West piled on to use them as a justification to continue bludgeoning the Jews. Now the Palestinians are vicious, chaotic—and even more profoundly ignorant than ever. I often think of the lost opportunity for an Arab community to enjoy the blessings of a free society. Had the parents and grandparents of today’s population remained on their property, eschewed the constant warfare, think of where they would be today. Hell, think of where we would all be now.
Perhaps most telling is the last line of the article:
"Hamad said his article was a personal opinion and did not represent the position of the government."
Here’s hoping the “position of the government” will soon be horizontal and about 6 feet under.

Free all muslims in US jails? Right.
Convert at gunpoint? Like that’s worth something?
Mr Wig’s plea that the story needs to be told is a bit weird. The story is being told all the time, and it is not a happy one.
It’s as if we genetically engineered Tourquemada again and sent him out to do PR for Christianity.
Islam appears to be its own worst enemy, and the moderates are below the horizon. The Palestinian dismantling, wrecking and vandalising of the farming infrastructure and equipment immediately following Israels departure from Gaza must surely rate them as the stupidest people in human history.
Kind of reminds me of the stories you hear that a high percentage of lottery winners are back to where they started within 5 years. The Palestinians where handed a virtual goldmine and have succeeded in blowing it in record time.Posted by Hank Reardon on 2006 08 28 at 06:41 PM • permalinkYeah, well, never fear. There’s always the fallback position of blaming the Great Satan and George Bush.
Posted by Kyda Sylvester on 2006 08 28 at 06:42 PM • permalinkMeanwhile, Western journalists go around [unless they’re kidnapped in Gaza] getting sound bites of brave citizens saying nasty things against Israel. Ditto in Lebanon.
When did we get a clear picture from the MSM about the intensely udemocratic media in these areas? If citizens are cowed by threats to say ‘the right thing’, their media are even more limited.
Even Arafat knew he could say only the ‘right’ things if he wanted to live and ‘lead’.
So when anyone sounds self-critical, it sounds like a clap of thunder in the desert.
NazirAllah told the truth the other day, after our own media told us nonsense -that Hezbollah thought they’d won.Apparently Israel is the blame for all middle-eastern terrorism, I mean, if only that pesky Israeli state would go away, then the muslims can return to their peace loving ways.
That’s kinda the arguement I hear from time to time, however, as I like to point out, what drove the muslims to invade spain and have a crack at Europe?, was it because they were agrieved at the existance of Israel?, or was it because Islam is a imperialist, barbaric religo-political movement of head hackers?.
I think that the Arabs would be horrified if Israel disappeared, I mean, who could they blame for they own shitty state of affairs then?.
And in other news, men of no appearance attempt to kidnap and rape another young girl.
And in other news, men of no appearance attempt to kidnap and rape another young girl.
Must be those architects again!
Well, it’s difficult to blame Israel for this:
Not at all. If the perfidious JOOS! JOOS! JOOOOOOOOS! had just given the Palis their own state years ago, they’d have learned how roadblocks work by now.

1.618, I don’t always understand your posts but they do give me a smile.
