ILLEGAL LEAKING EXPOSED

Sydney Alternative Media has issues with last Saturday’s column:

The second last sentence allegedly quotes David Hicks in a letter in his young 20ies with a crude reference to sex he wants to have when he gets back. Written perhaps when he found himself dominated by male company in far flung places 8 years ago before he got a Muslim religious experience ...

So where did Blair get the letter to quote? Is it satire or real? Why the bottom of the fourth column? Could it be because it reveals a back channel of political, illegal leaking by the security industry to Blair in News Ltd ...

The letter was written by Hicks circa 2004. It was sent to his former flatmate Louise Fletcher and subsequently published in the September 12, 2006 edition of The Bulletin. This may easily be found by entering certain terms in a search engine.

  1. I have a new found respect for Hicks. He’s a tit man. Just goes to show you there’s a little good in everyone.

  3. Tim, that was hugely amusing - particularly the last sentence and the screen shot of the Google page with the “magic words”.

And I wonder if all these little “alternative media” sources are “non-profit” because that’s their form of corporate organization, or because they just lose money. That outfit definitely needs to invest heavily in a researcher who knows how to google.

  4. The column’s priceless; you spread the pain quite liberally. But who’s your editor? You mispelled Tracceee.

  5. While his handlers were telling us Hicks was wasting away, depressed, and had lost all hope, Hicks was gorging himself, and writing letters to his friends, quite upbeat at the prospect of fkn ladies with big tits and with the obvious belief he would be home soon.

  6. It’s true Blair is genuinely funny as a right winger which is a rare quality on that side of politics.

It’s obvious they don’t read other “right-wing” blogs.  But they do read you, Blair, like naughty schoolboys under the sheets looking at Penthouse with a flashlight.

  10. The symbolic significance of this in the international media industry is ‘large’.

Up here, it was a major topic of discussion last week. The general conclusion was that if one could make a soap bubble as ‘large’, it would be very difficult to lift with a bare hand.

As for Hedley Thomas, two soap bubbles.

    Cheers

Why go through the bother of a web search when suggesting a conspiracy is afoot will go over much better with their readers?

    Heh.

  12. One of the idiot lefties on that “Broken Left Leg” blog was grousing how us wingnuts keep on bringing up “obscure facts” to support our arguments…..and how those “obscure facts” really don’t “support” our arguments.

Thanks to Sydney Alternative Media, I now see where that leftard comes from.  Lefties just don’t want to clutter up their alternate realities with mere facts and truths.  That would destroy their fanatasy worlds.

  13. And no, this is hardly an original conclusion.  That Sydney Alternate Media twit merely hammered the point home.

  16. sydney alternative media - non-profit community independent trustworthy

Similar to the producers of Green Left magazine, then, I assume. They have to give their rag away because nobody in their right minds would cough up coin for it.

‘Trustworthy’ in this context means ‘You can rely on us to get it wrong, every time. We’re consistent. But trustworthy sounds better. And it’s our family trust that’s paying the bills here, so why not?’

  18. Interesting. At least they admit…

It’s true Blair is genuinely funny as a right winger which is a rare quality on that side of politics.

What I’d like to know is where on the Left, is the sardonic wit, the particular Blair style of skewering with irony and word pictures? Where is the Lefty Blair - the man who can destroy pomposity and hypocrisy in three or four words - yet do it without spite or vitriol?

Such an animal does not exist on The Dark Side.

  25. O/T slightly (as the writer is a lefty loon)

Pht Phill is crying out for a fisking in his lastet colon
Hes jumped straight in on the “Obama-Racist assassins” bandwagon.

Ive done a little search but cant find any facts to back up this assertion by the faudster. I think this is another of his “Dimadenko” moments.
“..The prospect, even the likelihood, of assassination played a significant role in Colin Powell’s decision - and that of his wife - to abandon any thought of a presidential run…”

And this is possibly the worlds stupidest statement ever.
“..Far from the Chappaquiddick scandal costing Teddy any hope of Pennsylvania Avenue, his grotesque behaviour after the drowning of MaryJo Kopechne may have been symptomatic of his desperation to escape dynastic destiny. He assassinated himself…”

The sheer awfulness of his article is amazing, his grasp of fantasy astonishing.
Any of our Seppo friends like to point out any other gaffes??

Funny thing is he doesnt seem to notice most of the assassination attempts from the 80’s onward tend to be psychotic lefties?

  26. #15 & 24: I had problems with “20ies” too. To me it reads “twenty-ies”.
I think the “editor” meant “20s”.

The second last sentence allegedly quotes David Hicks…

The naughty sentence will probably find itself in court over this.

  27. Yeah, skeets, that’s why it grates.

I also have trouble with the use of decades. A decade is a measurement of ten years, decade is used instead of ten years and it’s more economical in the word department. Why do people insist now on using the word decade for periods of more than ten years? It grates to hear “After five decades…” or “Within three decades…”
What’s wrong with fifty years and thirty years? It just sounds wrong, is it the syllables?

  29. To pick a couple of his assassins.

“..In the Dade County Courthouse jail, Zangara confessed and stated: “I have the gun in my hand. I kill kings and presidents first and next all capitalists…”
Yup that sounds like a KKK member?

    Richard Pavlick: Right wing nutjob.

    Arthur Bremer: Just a nutjob.

    Samuel Byck: Just a nutjob

Squeaky Fromme: “..On the morning of September 5, 1975, she went to Sacramento’s Capitol Park (reportedly to plead with President Gerald Ford about the plight of the California redwoods)..” Oh good an early greenie death cultist

Sara Jane Moore: “The government had declared war on the left. Nixon’s appointment of Ford as vice president and his resignation making Ford president seemed to be a continuing assault on America.” Lefty nutjob

Raymond Lee Harvey: Conspiracy freak nutjob

    John Hinckley Jr: Nutjob

    Francisco Duran: mad nutjob

As far as I can tell the only common factor in all of the assassination attempts on US presidents is mental illness. Isnt it about time the Australian stopped paying for his crap?
