HURRICANE LATEST
For full Hurricane Katrina news please go to PunditGuy, now maintaining complete blog/video/audio coverage.
(Go ahead and click, James Wolcott; you know you want to.)
Wolcott won’t click.....he’s probably watching the live hurricane coverage with the same hormone levels that frat boys generate when visiting their first strip joint.

Then it’s on to Iraq. Looks like his Web skills went out with his basic reasoning skills, though, because that post is still there. It’s the thought that counts.
P.S. Oh! And now that post has a disclaimer:
(THIS HAS PROVEN TO BE MY MOST POPULAR POST AMONG RIGHTWING BLOGGERS. I HAVE COME TO CONSIDER IT MY GIFT TO THEM--OR YOU, IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE ONE OF ‘THEM.’ WHENEVER A NEW STORM BREWS, I FEEL CONFIDENT YOU WILL RETURN HERE TO QUOTE IT YET AGAIN.
AND FOR THOSE OF YOU DISCOVERING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME, HOLD ON TO YOUR PHONY INDIGNATION AND LET IT WARM YOU THROUGH THE DARK DAYS AHEAD.
KISSES AND TWINKLING THOUGHTS FROM ME,
JW)You know the old saying: THE MERE EXISTENCE OF RIGHT-WINGERS MEANS NEVER HAVING TO SAY YOU’RE SORRY. Well, he’s obviously not sure what to do with his publicly expressed murder fantasies, so I say we let him figure it out. You know how excitable these young people can be.

What a completely brain-dead fucktard. I can only assume he’s in denial over his own base stupidity.

Posted by richard mcenroe on 2005 08 29 at 07:51 PM • permalinkThis is so incredibly sad. My wife and I visited “N’Awlins” a few years back; in fact, this computer I’m on now (at work) has a series of photos from there as part of the screensaver: Riverwalk; beignets at Cafe du Monde; po’boys and dirty rice; the French Quarter; Canal Street; The “American Sector”; and an unforgettable dinner at “Commander’s Palace”. Hard to imagine the damage ... :(
It’s pretty beat up, but the French Quarter is still standing. Some parts of New Orleans are flooded, but it could have been so much worse. There are lots of pictures here. (Warning: Free Republic site, bandwidth heavy.) I wouldn’t want to be the people who left those cars parked outside, though, nor the company that owns that oil rig.

Well, if a meteorite plunged into the atmosphere, and ended up splattering James Wolcott across his computer, I’d mourn more for the loss of a perfectly good keyboard—it’d be impossible to clean out all of the nooks and crannies.
