  3. This is some kind of bribe to make me think that a Hillary or Obama presidency would have the benefit of shutting up all those left-wing idiots who have been screaming and whining since “hanging chad” was a cool punchline.

    Well: Forget it! It’s not worth the devastation to the economy and the death of millions of betrayed Iraqis. McCain is mighty and will prevail.

    What, lefties criticising a leftie government?  No that would never do and if it ever happens it would be a sorry state of affairs indeed.

    For the moment anyway all the lefties will be quiet as mice all toeing the party line—like good little vegemites that they are.  In this wonderful new world of Krudd there is no dissent.

    All we have to do is wait until the first blackouts occur courtesy idiotic Emissions Trading Energy Rationing Scheme.  It could be fun to watch their reactions through the gloom.

Okay, so I went on in another thread about Obama’s speech as being speech-chilling, while there are the leftists forever complaining that their speech is chilled or silenced when their patriotism is questioned etc. Maybe I’m a dumb bunny, but I’m taken with the idea that Obama will politically correct-ify the USA like its college and university campuses, all while sounding thoughtful and open-minded.

    I guess that, if one talks crazy stuff, it can be chiling to one’s speech if others point it out. The point in the end is not whether the result is one’s increased reluctance to voice one’s views but rather whether the criticism which one has received leading to that result is fair or not. In other words, the question turns on virtues and values all along the way, and not on amoral questions like that of whether one still feels cocky in one’s views or not. Do I sound like I need some help here?
