HE'S SUFFERED ENOUGH

Will the torment of Mark Latham never end?

Labor leader Kim Beazley has written to Mark Latham offering to host a dinner in his honour in Sydney or Canberra.

What a cruel, cold man Beazley can be:

Most people with chronic pancreatitis have abdominal pain, although some people have no pain at all. The pain may get worse when eating or drinking …

  1. I guess Big Kim thinks he never really got to have that arm wrestle with Biff because of the health thing. So now he’s challenging to eat him under the table. Don’t do it, Biff! This man can swallow cabbages whole.

  2. and ‘iron mark’ latham happily accepts this offer of a ‘dinner’ which would paint him as a psycho pathetic loser in the eyes of the australian public?

  3. The opening line in Kim’s speech on the night:

I come here to bury Latham, not to praise him.

  4. I be very wary Mark, when big Kim offers to have you for dinner.

  5. If the pain gets worse when you eat or drink, when does it get better?

  6. Why bother linking to The Daily Telegraph? The links don’t seem to work.

Will Alan Ramsey be at the dinner??? Believe it!

  7. rhhardin: When you quit eating or drinking for about 2-3 days, if you are also taking large amounts of demerol.  At least, that’s all that worked for my wife.  The pain is not funny.  It can be set off by all sorts of things, but in its early stages (if you’re not aware an attack is coming, which not all are) you make it worse by eating fatty foods or by drinking alcohol.  My wife has a high tolerance for pain, but this stuff just crushed her.  At this point, about 90% of her pancreas has died, so she is in pretty good shape until the rest of it goes, at which point she’ll have full-blown diabetes.  She is just 38 and has a genetic defect known as pancreas divisum, so she is not your usual pancreatitis suffer (number one cause is acoholism, followed by drug use, followed by physical trauma, followed by genetic defect).
