HE’S FROM SCOTLAND, AND HE’S HERE TO HELP

Guido Fawkes reports:

At the swearing in ceremony at the Scottish Parliament a few days ago John McTernan, fresh from organising the Scottish Labour party election campaign, was overheard saying he was off to Australia to help the Australian Labor Party in the upcoming elections.

  8. Isn’t this a case of foreign meddling in Australian politics?  Presuming, of course, that Scotland and Australia are separate countries, and not part of some commonwealth, or something.

  11. TRJS, Kerry wouldn’t have been quite so pathetic if he had snapped a salute.  Instead, he kinda sorta lamely waved his cupped hand up near his brow.  Sheesh.  I had a sergeant that would’ve totally ripped that lameass *salute* and Kerry’s lame ass, too.

    I don’t know what that gesture of his really was, but it definitely wasn’t a salute.

  13. Exporting loony-toon politicos to assist the more dysfunctional portions of other countries in their politicing is a perk exclusive to hyper power nations.

    The Scotts would have to conquer all of the EU and form that mess into one actual functional super state and develop a profitable economy to even come close to qualifying.

    I’m not up on the details of international law on such issues but since this is a hostile gesture, doesn’t Australia have the option of shooting the plane down over the ocean?
