Canadian cars are plenty sturdy, which explains why only one round pierced the vehicle’s exterior.

“The rear guard on a U.S. convoy signalled the vehicle to stay back,” Holmes said. “After it failed to do so and continued moving toward the convoy from behind, warning shots were aimed at the front of the vehicle, away from the passenger area.”
So, basically, the driver acted like a suicide bomber and paid the consequences. It sucks, but…
Posted by Rob Crawford on 2006 02 01 at 09:27 AM • permalinkHaving been on the wrong end of Canadian drivers, I can believe they drove to close. I watched one tailgate a state trooper for more than 5 miles before the trooper had enough let him pass and then pulled him over(at the time we were all doing 10 over on the Interstate). They now have Robert Pictin up for at least 40 murders now.
Driving too close to a US convoy in Iraq? That’s clear evidence of suicidal tendencies, at least.
