HALLIBURTON USURPED

US Army officer Diggs writes: “Here’s an article on the loggy school the Australian Army runs to train the Iraqi Army on logistics, something they were extremely poor at doing. Looks like it’s going fine.” Sure does:

Less than five months after the Iraqi Army Support Services Institute started its first cycle of classes, the Australian Army Training Team fronting the effort has handed control of the school over to Iraqi leaders.

In an Aug. 18 ceremony at the school, Iraqi Gen. Babikir, chief of staff for Iraqi ground forces, thanked the Australians for helping get the school started.

“It’s a very good start,” Babikir said. “There is still more to do.”

The school trains Iraqi Army supervisors and officers in areas such as combat medicine, vehicle maintenance, transportation, supply and logistics. Courses run between three to five weeks. More than 700 have gone through the school since the first classes started March 21; another 400 are expected to graduate next week.

Diggs: “The school will eventually make Halliburton unneccesary, as the soldiers who graduate take over their own supply missions. Success in training Iraqis in a mission that will take millions out of the blood-drenched pockets of Halliburton ... Whoodathunk?”

  1. Don’t go giving those Loggie Pukes too much praise.  They might get swelled heads and get above their station and think they are equal to the Combat Arms - well maybe equal to the Infantry, Artillery and other such lesser Corps.

  4. Lucky the US Army didn’t run that school, or Dick Cheney would have canned it due to conflict of interest.

  5. HAHAHAHA!  You fools! That cover story is all it takes? Obviously the first sinister encampment for training Hitlerburton’s legion of foreign mercenaries for the der right wing Christian Homophobic Fundamentalist Tag is now in full swing and you’re doing nothing about it!
