FEAR OF COLBERT

Democrats are scared of The Colbert Report:

Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), the Democratic Caucus chairman, has told new Democratic members of Congress to steer clear of Stephen Colbert, or at least his satirical Comedy Central program, “The Colbert Report.”

“He said don’t do it ... it’s a risk and it’s probably safer not to do it,” said Rep. Steve Cohen.

Democrats are also avoiding Fox News. Soon they’ll be reduced to chatting solely with the Huffington Post.

  1. Wow. Ironically, they seem to be afraid of irony. Which makes sense since their collective irony detector seems to’ve been removed in the Carter Administration. Or maybe the Attack Rabbit episode just blew it out and it hasn’t been replaced yet.

  2. Wotta buncha maroons wussies.

They’re afraid of their own goddam shadows, and afraid the U.S. might win something (and make a Republican look good in the process, god forbid).

And these clowns want to be elected to the Presidency?

    Pa-the-tic.

That whirring sound you hear is Harry Truman spinning in his grave.  :-(

  3. Democrats afraid of their own shadows satirists? What has the world come to?

Leftist implosion is always amusing, and we’ve got 19 months more of this hilarity.

  4. Boy, Fox News really makes leftards go ballistic. Imagine how nuts they would go if they had to pay for such politically-biased media out of their taxes and see that propaganda available not on pay cable but on free broadcast stations, or broadcast into every car radio in every market in every state.

I bet they would think that was really, intolerably unfair, huh?

  5. I never knew Puncks, er, Punxatatwa, er, that stupid groundhog was a Democrat—afraid of his own shadow.

  6. Wait, even comedians whose shtick supposedly consists of sending up Republicans are now avoided by Leftards for fear of encountering dissent? This is getting too funny for words.

  8. Colbert is brilliant.  He does a parody of the Bill O’Reilly show, and he does it better than O’Reilly.  In the past, leftoids have gone on his show expecting to get a pass, and get swatted instead.

  9. Left-leaning Dems are scared of irony and satire because that’s all an alien concept to them.

  10. YouTube Dennis Miller* (comedian) and Bill O’Reilly (Fox News) on Hollywood/media, Lefties & Fox News.

*Who says that the right wing aren’t into comedy/creativity?

  11. The Colbert Report is short on irony and long on tediousness.  Too bad the Democrat hadn’t said, “Avoid the Colbert Report - it’s not funny and is just plain crap”.
