DC SHIVERS
From nearby Springfield, VA, reader LP observes the Gore Effect in action during Al’s DC appearance:
It was much colder today in DC than predicted a week ago.
However, since Al seems to have left, the temperature will rise to 74 degrees tomorrow.
Considering his ability to cool any region he visits, it’s understandable that Al is disinclined to change the way he lives. Don’t mess with The Effect. Although it might be fun to test this at stately Gore Manor:
Scientists from NOAA’s Earth System Research Laboratory announced today a new tool to monitor changes in atmospheric carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases by region and source. The tool, called CarbonTracker, will enable its users to evaluate the effectiveness of their efforts to reduce or store carbon emissions.

I’m in Michigan, considered here to be “fly over” country. Liberals “fly over” going from east coast to left coast. That means the Gore effect hits about every other day. While in DC we had 50’s and sun yesterday, warming up to 64 during the night!! He must have “flown over” this morning because the temp is rapidly dropping and we’re expecting 30’s by tonight.

The only prescription is more COWBELL!
(If you’re not up on US pop culture explanation.)
I wonder how the Goracle does it. Is it simply that he’s such a fat bastard he blocks out the sun?

The CarbonTracker would overload and freeze into a -272 degree super-solid if it tried to take measurements at the Planet Gore compound.
