CUBAN MISSILE MADNESS

Fidel’s a truther:

Castro said the Pentagon was hit by a rocket, not a plane, because no traces were found of its passengers …

“Studying the impact of planes, similar to those that hit the Twin Towers, that had accidentally fallen on densely populated cities, one concludes that it was not a plane that crashed into the Pentagon,” Castro said.

“Only a projectile could have caused the geometrically round hole that allegedly was made by the plane,” he said.

“We were fooled like the rest of the planet’s inhabitants.”

Hardcore truthers were ranting about this nearly six whole years ago. It says something that Castro is so much slower than even them.

GBR When I saw it on TV on coming home from work I thought initially that it was another Hollywood blockbuster, but when my wife told me it was for real I thought “Jeez, somebody’s finally given those bullies a taste of their own medicine”.

Later that day I thought that the project had been so efficiently executed that it could not possibly have been carried out by a group of Arab hotheads and/or crazies hiding in Afghan caves, so I reached the conclusion that it must have been an inside job, the cataclysmic event referred to by Wolfowitz earlier, possibly/possibly not with the assistance of Mossad. And I continue to hold this view. The events of 11.09.2001 were the preamble for the invasion of Iraq - Afghanistan was just a side show. And the regime behind it…”

Its from the Comment is free section of the paper, and sums up a good 1/3 of the entries written over there.

How about we get a couple of Islamists to fly a couple of planes into Castro’s Presidential Headquarters? That should satisfy Castro’s stupid curiosity.

Sligthly OT but its funny how often you hear lefties talk about how Americans should “get over” 9/11 - but they seem to be happy for non anglo-celtic groups of pretty much any description to hark back to the Crusades, Battle of Kosovo, dreamtime etc to justify holding on to their particular animosity.

  18. On the topic of dead men, walking or otherwise, there has been mucho discussion in the last few months, reaching a crescendo today and yesterday, about the political fortunes of one John Winston Howard.  Well folks, I just saw the 7.30 Report, and JoHo looked 5 years younger, more positive and relaxed than I’ve seen him for months as he toyed with Red Kerry like a master fly fisherman playing a big trout

A great and undefeated old warhorse who has perhaps been worried in his own mind about the prospect of the knacker’s yard, but tonight by his body language, appearance, genial contempt for RK, and positive approach he is ready for one last charge, and the bad guys had better watch out. Acknowledged this would be the last, and that if elected he will hand the baton to (probably) Costello during the next term. That particular card is on the table, or so it seems.
I think the krudster’s smirk will become very fixed, very wooden, very soon. Expect a major offensive against the labor front line, who have been up to now almost invisible. This fight is about to get going.

    We live in interesting times.

Having said that, it’s pretty clear he either thought he was more clever than Sun Zi, or misunderstood it completely. It’s been a long time since I struggled through the “bingfa”, but there’s this bit (and I can’t be stuffed googling it) early on about how a good stategist must seem to lack ability in certain situations and then entice the enemy with mock disorder and crush them. A good strategist pretends to be weak so that the enemy grows arrogant.

For the sake of us all, let’s hope JWH is the one who’s worked this out and not Rudd.

Great.  Just what the US needs.  A bigger and better money pit.

It so happens that FEMA is responsible for US territories too, which includes Puerto Rico, Guam, The Commonwelth of the Northern Mariani Islands (Saipan, Tinian, Rota and a few others), American Samoa, Chuk, Ponpey (sp?) and the Marshal Islands.

I’ve been to ALL of those places working for FEMA, except for Puerto Rico and American Samoa, and boy, what an eye opener.  The citizens of those territories can’t vote, but they get US passports and every socialist aid program a US citizen does, and… they pay no taxes.

Great deal for them, but not so much for the US taxpayers.  None of them seriously aspire to statehood, by the way, because they don’t want to pay taxes.  Go figure.

Now, imagine everything that would have to be addressed in Cuba, which is basically living in the 1950’s, tech-wise.

OBL can’t become a truther by definition, because the truth is that he and his team planned and executed the 9/11 attacks.

I mean, he’s actually a step above the truthers - as rich with pathos as saying that is - in terms of integrity, BECAUSE HE’S ADMITTED RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE 9/11 ATTACKS AND PROVIDED EVIDENCE TO BACK UP HIS CLAIMS!

Truthers are as sick as Castrato.  Too bad they’re not dead like him too.

Has anyone seen this Penn & Teller episode, if that’s what you call it, called 9/11 Conspiracy Theories?  Never watched them on YouTube, nor anywhere else, but know of them.

I hadn’t until last night.  Stevo Jnr had asked me whether I’d seen Panatella.  I said, “what, have you been smoking cigars?”  When 16YOs talk, or the ones that I know, it is usually in grunts.  It took me a little while to know he was talking about Penn & Teller.  They’re not well known in Australia, but they appear pretty straight shooters.  A bit like Randi, but with bigger and twice the number of balls.  Good on ‘em.

My reference was to the recent left wing screed in the bin Laden video. It seems like all of the leftie global warming stuff and the references to current leaders were made when the image of bin laden was frozen. Making it look a lot like bin Laden is dead and being used as a sock puppet by “ToraBorawood”. bin Laden himself would never be a “troofer”, but the KosDiarist who seems to have gained control of the franchise certainly might.
