COLOURS LOWERED
Poor pigless England ...
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Tory-controlled) has now announced that, following a complaint by a Muslim employee, all work pictures and knick-knacks of novelty pigs and “pig-related items” will be banned.
... is soon to be flagless, if certain intolerant folk get their way:
British prison officers who wore a St. George’s Cross tie-pin have been ticked off by the jails watchdog over concerns about the symbol’s racist connotations.
The pins showing the English flag—which has often raised hackles due to its connection with the Crusades of the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries—could be “misconstrued,” Chief Inspector of Prisons Anne Owers said ...
Chris Doyle, director of the Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding, said Tuesday the red cross was an insensitive reminder of the Crusades.
“A lot of Muslims and Arabs view the Crusades as a bloody episode in our history,” he told CNN. “They see those campaigns as Christendom launching a brutal holy war against Islam.”
Doyle added that it was now time for England to find a new flag and a patron saint who is “not associated with our bloody past and one we can all identify with.”
A new flag, eh ... I guess a St George’s Cross made from bacon strips is out of the question?
UPDATE. Perry de Havilland: “I wonder how this organisation would react to calls for Muslims to abandon the crescent moon, the green flag and all other overly Muslim symbols as being offensive to some English people who may associate them with slavery?” (via Tom Pechinski)
In the spirit, how about the Muslims ditch the crescent. because it is a remember of a “bloody past”.
Oh, and ditch “Allah” as well.
He reminds me of terrorists.
Posted by Quentin George on 2005 10 05 at 04:10 AM • permalinkThey can keep the crescent and Allah - just get the fuck out of England and any other country who’s laws and flag they won;t abide.
Posted by Young and Free on 2005 10 05 at 04:17 AM • permalinkAnd again with the crusades.
Poor babies.
Let’s get this straight, once and for all:
If the followers of Mohammed had stayed in the desert near Mecca and Medina, instead of conquering Palestine, Egypt, Syria and Anatolia THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO FUCKING CRUSADES.
Ah, that feels better.
Posted by Quentin George on 2005 10 05 at 04:21 AM • permalinkSo, you might say, Muslims need to ask, “Why do they hate us?”
Posted by Quentin George on 2005 10 05 at 04:21 AM • permalinkWell the Red Cross will have to change to the Red Crescent then, all over the world.
Sorry to have to bring the elephant into Trafalgar Square but is England these days so backboneless. WHAT they need to do is be RESOLUTE.That means private citizens speaking out while they still CAN!!!!!!!!
Or its all over Range Rover. You are gone for all money. Here I thought England had learnt something. It’s a sad day when the French are an example of what to do.

If they can handle the Cross of St George, then why can’t Muslims?
Posted by Quentin George on 2005 10 05 at 05:35 AM • permalinkIronically, the bloke from the “Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding” is the first one to actually make me feel active dislike for Muslims.
Congratulations, you’ve made me intolerant.
Posted by Quentin George on 2005 10 05 at 05:37 AM • permalinkpolictical correctness gone too far. Doesnt that mean that terrorism is working, when we stoop down to pandy these Muslims who refure to do anything about their situation, act the victim constantly and blame us for the fact that they have not achieved anything in the past thousand years to deflect attention from the failings of their own leaders. hat is what this is about, Islam as a mechanism for controlling people. It is perfect, no accountability on earth, no balancing influence from (the better) half of the population. Hatred of Western standards, but are they shunning any oil wealth? I dont think so. In that context it is no surprise that in the past century the struggle for power in the ME (and the concurrent rise of extremism) is not a surprise, they, like us are fighting over resources. It is going to get worse as more people join this struggle. Lets not pander to those who refuse to play by the rules.
What’d happen to our flag?

/Joking (I hope!), but sad to see her gone.
Sometimes people ask what it’s like living in Hong Kong. It’s kind of nice these days to say it’s a place where this little guy is a a local icon.
Its interesting how there is all this international hype about ” underground Jewish lobbies ” and ” hidden zionist boogey men” controlling, manipulating and imposing their way of life upon the rest of the world.
Very interesting indeed.
The fact that they dont control the flow of the wolrd’s oil aisde—for close to sixty years, some reason these powerful Jewish lobbyists couldnt even use their immense “power” to lobby or persuade the International Red Cross to even accept Israel’s version of the Red Cross (Magen Adom), all because Israel insists on using the Red star of David over the Red Cross. This, whilst the Muslim Red Crescent is welcomed with open arms.
Just one example of international Jewish lobbying at work.
And now it looks like these western dhimmis are taking a step further and are even willing to modify their own national symbols for the sake of Islam.
This has happened before.
Read it and see how political correctness in the UK was dictated by Muslims (and not just any Muslims, but Muslim criminals).
It’s the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and the prison watchdog that are the problem, along with the entire British political establishment. As much as I despise George Galloway he’s probably the only real man left in a Parliament full of women, homosexuals and university domeheads. England needs a revolution not an election.
Chris Doyle (perhaps he should change his name since it is a reference to Christ) is evil and so displeasure at his vile, racist suggestion can be expressed to the association through this e-mail address .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

I don’t know what the Sand Goblins have got against our porcine pals, after all they’ve a lot in common- could it be because of goat jealousy?
Prisons in the US generaly wont serve any pork products.
Remember our own Jihad boy (the beardy wierdy whos name escapes me at the moment) winging in jail because there wasnt enough halal food for him.

They did help retake Jerusalem, and provided protection for pilgrims.
Since the Freemasons are allegedly the secret society or underground successor to the Knights Templar (who were stamped out when they became too strong) they would be persona non grata as well. It is a bit of a morph though, from Knights to secret Craftsman’s guild. The bloody crusades were an act of self defense by what was left of Christendom after Islam had used violence to conquer two thirds of it.
They should learn a little effing history.

I’ve asked arab friends this when they start winging on about the Crusades.
“What is your problem? The Crusaders came and had their fun of hackin’ and a rapin’ and a pilligin’ (as everyone with a horse and good sized knife was doing at the time). Then Salidan came and handed them their asses and the turks eventually chased the infidels all the way to Vienna.
So to repeat - what is your problem? You won that round.”
The story goes that St George was born in the 3rd century, in Asia Minor, to a Palestinian mother.
That’s about three hundred years before Muhammad was born, let alone the Crusades.
As one legend suggests that he was martyred, in the true sense of the word, for his belief in one true God, by a pagan emperor, he should qualify for Muslim sainthood shouldn’t he.
Now I understand why all the lovvies were so keen to see Wests Tigers defeat St. George-Illawarra in the finals.
What shall we rename St George Hospital to?
Suggested Replacement Flag inspired by the one from Saudi Arabia.
I googled the Council for the Advancement of Arab British Understanding, thinking it might be just another soft-header small-“l” liberal buttmonkey group. It ain’t. It looks to me like a quite sophisticated propaganda operation, spreading the usual
Islamicist and anti-Jewish filth.Posted by Susan Norton on 2005 10 05 at 11:15 AM • permalinkI find Islamic men wearing beards offensive. They remind me of fleas.
I’m also offended by burqas. Especially with legs sticking out of them. They look too much like walking tents, it’s just too creepy.
And those little beanies Muslim men wear: too dorky by far.
Let’s have a little balance here. Our side gives up something, your side gives up something.
Those flags must be truly offensive, Zoe, as I get “Access Denied” when I click your links. Probably for “my own good”, I’m sure…

Some gals at a college in the U.S. pulled that off and got a bell tower to come down by saying they were afraid of it.
Speaking of which the Sean Penn thread that turned into the tentacle thread….
I left a note there and the damn thing doubled in size rapidly-and I was too afraid to look at it after that.

I suppose Cincinnati should feel lucky it escaped the notice of the Islamists. They might have chosen it rather than New York or Washington on 9/11. Still I often wonder that if did happen, would anyone have noticed much? I certainly would like to think so.

My guess is that this means it is also going to be inappropriate to have pictures of semi naked or naked women around?
I do have an old copy of the Koran that I had been using when we ran out of toilet paper is that okay?
