COLOURS LOWERED

Poor pigless England ...

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Tory-controlled) has now announced that, following a complaint by a Muslim employee, all work pictures and knick-knacks of novelty pigs and “pig-related items” will be banned.

... is soon to be flagless, if certain intolerant folk get their way:

British prison officers who wore a St. George’s Cross tie-pin have been ticked off by the jails watchdog over concerns about the symbol’s racist connotations.

The pins showing the English flag—which has often raised hackles due to its connection with the Crusades of the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries—could be “misconstrued,” Chief Inspector of Prisons Anne Owers said ...

Chris Doyle, director of the Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding, said Tuesday the red cross was an insensitive reminder of the Crusades.

“A lot of Muslims and Arabs view the Crusades as a bloody episode in our history,” he told CNN. “They see those campaigns as Christendom launching a brutal holy war against Islam.”

Doyle added that it was now time for England to find a new flag and a patron saint who is “not associated with our bloody past and one we can all identify with.”

A new flag, eh ... I guess a St George’s Cross made from bacon strips is out of the question?

UPDATE. Perry de Havilland: “I wonder how this organisation would react to calls for Muslims to abandon the crescent moon, the green flag and all other overly Muslim symbols as being offensive to some English people who may associate them with slavery?” (via Tom Pechinski)

  1. Oh I’ll take my piggy box home then?

My guess is that this means it is also going to be inappropriate to have pictures of semi naked or naked women around?

I do have an old copy of the Koran that I had been using when we ran out of toilet paper is that okay?

  2. In the spirit, how about the Muslims ditch the crescent. because it is a remember of a “bloody past”.

Oh, and ditch “Allah” as well.

  4. And again with the crusades.

    Poor babies.

Let’s get this straight, once and for all:

If the followers of Mohammed had stayed in the desert near Mecca and Medina, instead of conquering Palestine, Egypt, Syria and Anatolia THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO FUCKING CRUSADES.

    Ah, that feels better.

  16. polictical correctness gone too far. Doesnt that mean that terrorism is working, when we stoop down to pandy these Muslims who refure to do anything about their situation, act the victim constantly and blame us for the fact that they have not achieved anything in the past thousand years to deflect attention from the failings of their own leaders. hat is what this is about, Islam as a mechanism for controlling people. It is perfect, no accountability on earth, no balancing influence from (the better) half of the population. Hatred of Western standards, but are they shunning any oil wealth? I dont think so. In that context it is no surprise that in the past century the struggle for power in the ME (and the concurrent rise of extremism) is not a surprise, they, like us are fighting over resources. It is going to get worse as more people join this struggle. Lets not pander to those who refuse to play by the rules.

  20. Its interesting how there is all this international hype about ” underground Jewish lobbies ” and ” hidden zionist boogey men” controlling, manipulating and imposing their way of life upon the rest of the world.

    Very interesting indeed.

The fact that they dont control the flow of the wolrd’s oil aisde—for close to sixty years, some reason these powerful Jewish lobbyists couldnt even use their immense “power” to lobby or persuade the International Red Cross to even accept Israel’s version of the Red Cross (Magen Adom), all because Israel insists on using the Red star of David over the Red Cross. This, whilst the Muslim Red Crescent is welcomed with open arms.

Just one example of international Jewish lobbying at work.

And now it looks like these western dhimmis are taking a step further and are even willing to modify their own national symbols for the sake of Islam.

Since the Freemasons are allegedly the secret society or underground successor to the Knights Templar (who were stamped out when they became too strong) they would be persona non grata as well. It is a bit of a morph though, from Knights to secret Craftsman’s guild.

That’s about three hundred years before Muhammad was born, let alone the Crusades.

As one legend suggests that he was martyred, in the true sense of the word, for his belief in one true God, by a pagan emperor, he should qualify for Muslim sainthood shouldn’t he.
