CHILDREN BORN

So much for Mike Moore’s theories on the inferiority of US health care:

A Canadian woman has given birth to extremely rare identical quadruplets.

The four girls were born at a US hospital because there was no space available at Canadian neonatal intensive care units.

  1. Bullshit! The damn frostbacks just wanted American citizenship.

  2. I don’t trust those Canadians.  They all look alike to me.

  3. Even worse, Tim. The space in the US was available in a U.S. backwoods town of 50,000 and not in Canada’s second richest province in a city of about 1,000,000 people.

  4. RebbecaH—hey, don’t be talkin’ down in yo’ throat ‘bout Canadians!  Once you go white you ... um… roll over and fall asleep?

There’s better medical service capabilities in Great Falls, MT, than in all of Canada!

Actually, I shouldn’t laugh…...that’s downright pathetic.  Especially for the Canadians who need that medical service.

‘Tis time to exile some Canadian bureaucrats to the Yukon, or maybe Cuba, methinks.

  7. Mexico can maintain the fiction of being a workable nation as long as it has the U.S. to dump its population on.
Canada can maintain the fiction of having a workable healthcare system as long as it has the U.S. to save its citizens.

  8. All 3 Canadian neonatal intensive care beds were taken.

BTW those Canadian eggs must come in clumps.

Probably not, it’s just available. Socialized health care is rationed health care.

They usually do go to Cuba, Jeff_S, every friggin’ winter on holiday.

  12. Too bad you can’t take away their citizenship during their next holiday jaunt, andy.  With the going away message: “We sent your medical records to Fidel.  Hasta la vista, baby!”

  13. I must be naive. But is the Canadian Health System totally socialised? If so, did Moore feature it in Sicko?

  14. Being Canadian, Mark Steyn has written several columns on the failings of the Canadian health system.  It’s not only because of the natural beauty that he has a second home in New Hampshire.  As he has written, if he and his family are living in Quebec and they need medical attention, they travel to their NH home to get it.

  15. Wow, and my husband’s first thoughts on hearing this was, “How much fun are they going to play on their teachers!”  closely followed by, “Five women in the house to only ONE man!!!!”
