BRING ON THE GIANT COMMIE NUKETRUCK

Intoxicating retro visions of future transport; but none foresaw global warmingcooling and the need for a vehicle with its own salt supply.

  2. OK, the plane made up of three planes welded together—is it just me, or did they name it the “BOOB”?

  3. In Milwaukee we’ve passed the 6 foot level of snow for this winter. 13th highest amount on record, and we’re shootin’ for top spot!

  4. Dark Roasted Blend is a damned cool site.  I’ve had them on RSS for a few months now, and they seldom disappoint.

Their Sunday link collections are fun, too.

  5. My favorite dialog from the future (Aliens)

Frost: Hey, I sure wouldn’t mind getting me some more of that Arcturian poontang! Remember that time?

Spunkmeyer: Yeah Frost, except the one you had was MALE.

Frost: It doesn’t matter when it’s Arcturian, baby!

  8. These are the sort of vehicles Australia will be making under in the giant factories in Labor’s second five-year plan.  Workers filled with the joy of labouring under the benevolent and wise guidance of Comrade Rudd will quickly fill the skies and seas with machines that glorify the people’s party and its leadership and crush the American imperialist capitalist running dog.

  9. I have no sympathy for any government agency thinking that they could skimp on road salt this year. When Gore got his Nobel, I immediately ordered a hydraulically aimed, 2 meter snowblower.

Here is the perfect example of the advantage of free trade--a Canadian snow removal implement married to Japanese diesel propulsion, with an American iPod driven stereo.
