BAD NEWS IN IRAQ - FOR ZARQAWI

Certain folks don’t approve of Arthur Chrenkoff’s dissenting views on Iraq. J.F. Beck rounds ‘em up. Meanwhile, in response to the pray for al-Zarqawi campaign, Chrenkoff has launched a campaign of his own:

Please feel free to write in your “get caught” or “get [anything else]” wishes for Al Qaeda’s Number 1 in Iraq.

And let’s show jihadis we can run a successful “million prayers of capture campaign.”

Some wishes have already been granted:

Reports that Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been wounded are true, Iraq’s interior minister told a news conference on Thursday.

My own personal lung prayer has also been answered:

Insurgents said Wednesday in interviews and statements on the Internet that the leader of the group al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab Zarqawi, was struggling with a gunshot wound to the lung.

It only hurts when he breathes.

  1. Wonder what medical facility he’s at? I’d like to send him some pork rinds to snack on while he’s recovering.

  3. Lung prayer works! Can we try a gutshot prayer too?

  4. Perhaps he’s being attended by some of those state-of-the-art Cuban doctors.

  5. You say it only hurts when he breathes? Well then, the solution is obvious….

That’s my prayer and I’m stickin’ to it.

  6. At least his traditional islamist sex life is OK.  He didn’t get shot in the arse.

  7. Send in a proctologist to examine his lung from the underside.

  8. Jesse James was shot in the lung. He was even meaner after the convalesence.

  10. U.S. officials view this story with skepticism, and I admit I do too.  I think the chickenshit ran for the Syrian border, and told the lung-shot story to cover his tracks.  Or maybe one of his own decided to collect that multimillion dollar reward.  I’ll believe he’s dead when I see his head on a stick.

  11. Obviously what is needed is a sorryzarqawi.com website with compassionate head tilts all around.  The anti-war crowd needs a new cause to occupy them so they don’t accidently get the opportunity to stop and actually think about what they are doing.

  12. My wish is that we capture him unscathed and make him and his cohorts bury those he has killed (that haven’t been buried yet) and visit those who lost arms and legs and became blind and deaf from his car bombs.

After a suitable time, throw him to the crowd and let them serve justice Benito Mussolini style.

  14. It’s a bit like old gag about the matador who is horribly gored by a bull: when the doctor asks how he is, he says “It only hurts when I laugh”.

Wha…?  Are matadors known for excessive laughter?  I don’t get it.

Gore + Matador = hole in the tummy; not funny

Gore +  Bull = “He betraaaaaaaaayed this countraaaaaaah!!!”

Gore + Laugh = does not compute

Matador + Laugh = Look at those stupid tights you’re wearing.

  16. Maybe if we’re really, really lucky, Zarqawi is “wounded” the way Arafat was “stable…”

  17. My wish?  He loses a lung, a leg, his right hand, both eyes and any remaining genitalia and then gets caught by an Iraqi girls soccer team who slowly beat him to death with their shoes.  Judging from how the Iraqi people treated Saddam’s statues this ought to pile some extra shame on that little Jordanian Jerkoff.  May wild dogs eat his body and may the djinn torment him in hell forever.

  18. Only hurts when he breathes. Lets hope it is extremely painful and that he struggles to breathe for a long, long time.

  19. He’s a monster, but my God the guy lived large, a modern savage in the demon-haunted wood.

I understand the Jihadi mindset, it’s a violent retreat from modernity. VHS calls their civilisation parasitic on the West but really the jihadi vision is of a return to the bessed state of man, when God was in the sky and the Arab in the desert. It’s utterly futile in the short term, history will end, but I have a feeling humanity will wreck it’s global civilisation in a century or two, out of sheer boredom. Seriously, when all the world’s poor are fed, every state is a responsible democracy and Africa no different from Burbank, when we’re all living in peace in one gigantic global suburb, we’ll go mad and riot and history will start again with new age of barbarism.

Zargawi was just born a few centuries too late and a few too early.
