ANSWERERS ARISE

If A.N.S.W.E.R. is the answer, the question is probably yet to occur to anyone whose medication isn’t delivered in vats. Ed Driscoll notes the re-emergence of this delightful crowd.

  1. I guess it speaks well of the basic common sense of the American people that the commissars of A.N.S.W.E.R. still shrink from openly carrying huge banners of their Red heroes at things like “immigration” rallies. Disconcerting, though, that the MSM is indifferent to the provenance of the group’s support (not surprising, of course). I never cease to be amazed by the fact that a blood-thirsty obscenity like Communism seems to have acquired a patina of mild eccentricity in the, for want of a better word, “minds” of modern journalists.

  2. I’d be interested in knowing where the ANSWER people get their funding.  Donations from gray-haired old Stalinists in San Francisco?  Cuba?  Iran?  Not that Iran is interested in Communism, but they sure like to stir things up.

Just for good measure A.N.S.W.E.R. tosses a few bombs Israels way near the bottom of this page.

  6. ANSWER is harvesting the crop that took 30 years to mature. Can’t blame them for taking advantage of the situation, blame the voters of California for the current situation. We made our bed and now we gotta sleep in it.

    and a related note:

For 25 years the liberal/progressive wing of the Calif. state legislature have been champing at the bit to gut prop. 13 tax reforms. The progressives may soon succeed in that effort using illegals to stuff the ballot boxes in democrat controlled voting districts from San Diego to Bakersfield. ANSWER will be more than happy to help them achieve that goal.

  7. A.N.S.W.E.R., along with every other pro-marxist group, are also behind the upcoming MAY DAY immigration marches.

This is really great news.  Wait until the average American sees all of those red flags being waived around. I just love the smell of backlash in the morning.

  8. Its illegal for California poll workers to ask for legal identification such as a Calif. drivers license when people enter a precinct to vote.

If the voters name doesn’t appear on the roll sheets they are allowed to use a provisional ballot form to cast a vote. So now people are hopping from precinct to precinct and demanding provisional voting ballots. One guy was caught voting six times here in Chico Ca.

Illegals who get a fake drivers license now get to sign up to vote at the Dept of Motor Vehicles, just check a box and your now entered onto the vote rolls.

Our voting system has been subverted by the multiculti crowd in Sacramento.

  10. 13times.  You can also begin to substitute “absentee ballot” for “provisional ballot”

The left has a big push on for using absentee ballots.  Left=voter fraud.

  11. ANSWER wore thin their welcome with the protectionist and anti-war crowds and no doubt they eventually will alienate, pun intended, the pro-illegal immigration crowd as well. This People’s Petition attempts to appeal to all three:

I demand full rights and equality for all immigrants living in the United States. Neoliberal economic policies targeting Latin America, like NAFTA and CAFTA, have pushed millions of people into abject poverty. Immigrants are forced to come to the U.S. to look for work. Nobody should be criminalized for attempting to survive. No human being is illegal. Racism against immigrants emanates from the same forces behind the U.S. war to conquer and control the wealth of Iraq.

SO THAT’S why my grandparents left Naples, America’s neoliberal economic policies.  As for discrimination, there is a reason that there are so many Catholic universities in the US—the mainstream colleges would not let us in.

I wish my grandparents’ generation were around to deal with this bunch.  One of my mother’s uncles had a saying [begin Italian accent] “Stupid-a people, ya gotta hit ‘em”

That is always my question—not do the extremists (left and right) WANT but DO THEY REALIZE WHAT THEY WANT?

I find it most strange that the biggest Western supporters of jihad are those with the most to lose.  It seems to me that their hatred of western civilization is “cool” and trumpts all other concerns.

  17. I’m having a logic problem here.  Mexican citizens come to California because there are damn nearly no jobs worth having in Mexico, AND no poverty-alleviation programs, AND the medical care sucks, AND the water’s bad, AND ... (many etc), all of which in turn is because Mexico is a kleptocratic shit-hole.  So.  Here they are in California, and what do they want?  They want to turn IT into Mexico?
    Fuckin’ geniuses!
Oh yeah one other thing: aside from, and ahead of A.N.S.W.E.R., what is their main organization for doing this called?  “La Raza,” right?
Is there anybody here who can keep a straight face when being called a “racist,” by a member of a gang NAMED “The Race”?

  18. Whats going on is this:

Well-to-do Mexicans or scummy Americans are buying plots of land with old barns on them. They then rip out the interior stalls and hay lofts and install as many bunks as can be jammed into the open spaces.

Bus in 50 male indentured servants - mexican or whatever and charge them 75% of their monthly income. Provide them with alcohol, drugs and hookers at marked up prices so the last 25% of their income can be skimmed away.

Yay !! we now have pisssed off illegal aliens living all over the central valley, many of them trapped into a sucking void of nearly forced labor.

The barn I describe is in Salinas, California. 400+ miles north of the mexican border. No septic tanks - they use pit toilet outhouses and dump grey water anywhere possible. The city knows whats going on, but hell they are pro latino and are probably getting kick backs from the slave owners.

Only Cynthia McKinney could keep a straight face at that.

They probably think that all of those CA taxpayers are just going to stay in CA to provide the funding for all of their programs.

Now you know why I left. Consider my “representation” when I left.
    Senate-Boxer, Feinstein
    US House-Henry Waxman
    State Senate- Tom Hayden
City Council-can’t remember but she made most of the above look like founding members of the Adam Smith Society.

  23. The Communist Party of Australia has miniscule membership (eg maybe 20 in Western Australia) but publishes a significant-sized weekly newspaper ‘The Guardian’ with six (doubtless low-paid) staff and members seem to be well able to jet about the country for conferences etc. To some extent funding is via bequests from long-time (addled) supporters from the depression era. For example, some people have left what are now very valuable Sydney residential properties to the Party. But significantly, The Guardian has carried many full-page unedited slabs of North Korean propaganda. I am sure handsome payments from North Korea were involved. btw latest issue includes a piece ‘Your ABC needs your support’. Hmmm.Guardian
The site includes helpful questions and answers, eg
Has socialism been a failure? No, it has not. In those countries that adopted the socialist form of economy and social system, enormous changes for the better took place in the lives of the working people and farmers. The Soviet Union, for example, developed from a down-and-out country at the time of the Russian revolution in 1917 to have the second largest economy by the 1960s.

Schools, houses and hospitals were built and great industrial complexes were established. Education even to the university level was free, as were all medical services. Rents, including household electricity, heating, gas and telephone services were a very small proportion of income. By the 1980s the Soviet Union could claim about one quarter of all scientists in the world.

  24. Yeah percypup, but leaving aside for the moment the truth of these fantasies, the cost was tens of millions of dead people.  They never consider that do they?  But, by golly, Stalin and Brezhnev and Castro and Mao made the trains run on time!

As for the incompatibility of Islam and Communism or the other trendy fantasies of the lefties, they don’t think about it.  Islamic radicalism is now the only viable movement for opposing capitalism and the odious United States, therefore they will support its efforts no matter what.  Doing down the US and capitalism transcends any mer considerationas of logic or rationality.  That is why Carlos the Jackal, that old Commie terrorist of the 70s, converted to Islam in prison.  A fitting act for a Commie atheist, no?  You see that the priority is, as it always has been, destruction.  In that Islamic radicalism offers the socialists a new chance to achieve the old dream of destructive nihilism.

  29. Michael and Percypup: And if you look at the truth behind what they say it gets even dicier. For instance the claim that the USSR had the second largest economy in the world. That was predicated on the fiction that 1 ruble = 1 US dollar. Officially it was set that way.  When the ruble was finally floated it crashed against the dollar which is a good indication of the genuine production of the economy.

The USSR’s true economic performance was best satirised in Animal Farm, with the pigs filling the barrels with dirt and just putting grain on the top to give the illusion of full grain barrels.

Should we really be surprised to find Russian, North Korean, Chinese, Iranian or Oil-For-Food money and influence making its way into the coffers of organizations like A.N.S.W.E.R.?

There is an actual train of thought among Latino activists (I shit you not) that argues that Spaniards should not be allowed to count themselves as “Hispanic” because they are European.  Shows you the level of critical thinking, no?

On the other hand Rebecca, our US Navy recruiters had a minority college/commissioning program.  For the purposes of this program, applicants of Spanish descent were considered “Hispanic”.  Which is LOL funny because the Spanish were the New World’s most rapacious colonizers, and these programs are all about equalizing “past wrongs”.
