AMBITIONS DELAYED

Sirhan Sirhan—the psycho so nice they named him twice—has been refused parole, even though he already had a new career planned on the outside:

Psychiatric exam results presented to the board indicated Sirhan “hates Americans and, if released, wants to be involved in Middle East politics”.

Hey, the boy isn’t crazy enough. Another few years should do it.

  3. Sirhan Sirhan,
    He’s a hell of a guy!
    If the battery’s not flat,
    You’ll be blown sky high.

So, Middle-East politics. Is he thinking of joining a political party, working the neighbourhood, getting out the vote, handing out how-to-vote cards, helping candidates, or perhaps even being one - or was he just thinking of the usual - killing people?

  4. It’s amazing how the media & people in general usually overlook the Palestinian connection in the Kennedy assassination and usually fail to note that this was the first act of Arab/Islamic terror on US soil.

Even more amazing at what gets over looked – Arafat ordering the murder of two kidnapped American (& one Belgian) diplomats in the early 1970’s because the US refused to release Kennedy’s killer.

  8. A little OM but I’m reading Kipling’s story collection “Limits and Renewals,” published in 1932. In the story “The Debt” a Muslim character refers to France as “Frangistan” Prophetic?

  9. #1 Better yet, send him to Ha-ha-vard. He will appear sane there and his hatred of the USA will qualify him as a full professor in the Arts&Science; faculty.

  11. Horse Boy keeps sending me updates to Sirhan Sirhan- they don’t check out their mailing list too seriously, or they think he only wants to shoot Kennedys.

I think a more accurate translation is “Land of the French Dhimmis.”

If you judy want to say “Land of the Franks”, “France” will do fine.

  16. Kidon is correct on the Islamic terror angle. Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian college student at the time, left behind loads of notebooks excoriating RFK for his support of Israel in the 1967 war.

US Democrat liberals seem to have gotten the message and have been good dhimmis since then.

  18. As long as there are Kennedys in positions of power, Sirhan Sirhan will never get out of prison.  John Hinckley, on the other hand…

  19. I saw and shook hands with Kennedy at the Orange County airport the day before the primary. I was struck by how slight a man he was in person. And he was at the ragged edge of total exhaustion.  Burly aides had hold of him under each arm and literally were carrying him around (I made a point of watching his feet—they barely touched down on the tarmac). As he greeted people, the guy who had his right would extend that arm and let you take hold and give it a little squeeze. Never again in my life have I seen that level of fatigue—I thought it’s like he’s fading away before our eyes (not to suggest any portent of things to come—the guy was just spent). He had less than 30 hours to live. At least he went out a winner.

I don’t understand why SS is even eligible for parole. Wouldn’t the next step down from the death penalty be life without possibilty of parole?

The guy has a talent and it would be a shame to have it go to waste.

  22. This waste of precious oxygen is a lovely remnant of America’s death penalty “notch” in the 60’s and 70’s.  Charles Manson is another.  James Earl Ray was another, but he finally, thankfully croaked a while back.  Ironically for the anti-death penalty crowd, the victims of these scum were heroes of the Left, MLK, RFK and Polanski’s friends and family.

  23. #6 - Susan - after the suggestion by Iranian head honcho that Israel should have been created in Germany, someone here suggested that a land be created in France for the Palestinians - and that it could be called Frankenstine.

  27. Of all the clear cut cases of assasination of politicians, this one tales the biscuit.
Yet conspiracy theories abound even here.
And talking conspiracy,John Howard was moonlighting as an LA duputy DA in those days. Australian law practises were not paying enough.
