AMAZING SCENES

Don Polson of the Red Bluff Daily News reports:

A fascinating chart, put together for the New York Times by Arthur Chrenkoff, that provides a “daily parade of small triumphs” for the month of April, can be found here.

You will be amazed to read about the reconstruction and water projects, terrorist arrests, hospitals and health centers being built, new power stations, rehabilitation of water treatment and sewer systems.

It is amazing to read of rebuilding efforts in such detail. Chrenkoff’s simple idea—though difficult to research so very completely—defies the usual “if it bleeds, it leads” media theory. His hit count is evidence of a hunger for balanced reporting; it’s also a reason why lefty bloggers are so hostile to Arthur. They’re jealous.

  1. Going to Mr Chrenkoff’s site, the first thing I see, that the French find the French just as annoying as we do.

The power of the Internet at work. Ironic how the best place to hear conservative views (and what the media decides isn’t newsworthy) is in a place of total anarchy.

  2. Are we giving this man more undeserved legitimacy? Again?  Keep it up.

  3. People who get most of their news from the MSM will be amazed to read that there actually is good news coming out of the Middle East.  They certainly never heard about any of it from the NYT before now.

  4. What I find amazing is how the press have no time to publicise these achievements yet can commit enormous resources in searching for the slghtest most trivial unsubstantiated misdemeanour or publishing the opinions of high profile media performers.

Good on Rupert Murdoch for publishing Saddams pants,  we want more.

  5. It’s great that the good works are proceeding apace, but admit it: this has been a horrible spring.  Four hundred dead in two weeks is a score for the bad guys, not us. Sure, let’s give the neglected successes their due publicity, but let’s not paper over the setbacks, either.

  6. Sanity Inspector: Basically 400 Muslims seeking peace killed by other Muslims who don’t want peace. Where’s the outrage? Oh yeah, it’s Saddam’s underpants. Regards
