ALMOST AS BAD AS PRESBYTERIANS

It ain’t so easy being a ex-Muslim in ever-tolerant multi-culti Europe:

Ehsan Jami is an intelligent, softly-spoken 22 year-old council member for the Dutch Labour Party. He believes there should be no compromise, ever, on the rights of women and gay people and novelists and cartoonists. He became sick of hearing self-appointed Islamist organisations claiming to speak for him when they called for the banning of books and the “right” to abuse women. So he set up the Dutch Council of Ex-Muslims. Their manifesto called for secularism – and the end to the polite toleration of Islamist intolerance. As he put it: “We want people to be free to choose who they want to be and what they want to believe in.”

Sounds reasonable enough. How did Ehsan’s ex-religionists react?

Ehsan was immediately threatened with death.

  1. Sounds like a bright, clear thinking visionary. A breath of fresh air and hope for the future of Europe.
Please let us know where to send the flowers and cards of condolences to his next of kin.

  5. I’d venture to suggest that Ehsan has committed numerous hate crimes in the statement quoted, and if the Muzzies don’t get him, the Thought Police will.

Either way, reeducation then death, I’m afraid.

  7. There have always been such open minded individuals in the mulsim world.

And, as soon as they identify themselves as such, they’ve been slaughtered.

Much of the education process of the young are meant to find such persons and force them out into the stoning fields.

  8. #6 ...Wasn’t one of the victims of that attack a woman in her 70’s? How about that for the courage of a wannabe jihadi?  I guess it’s a tough choice for those scumbags.  Hmm, What’ll it be a grandmother in her 70’s or U.S. Army or Marine (or Australian)infantrymen? At least in the aforementioned instance they made the rational if cowardly choice. These people are beneath contempt.

  9. That young man is trying to upset every tenet of multiculturalism.  He needs to learn how to stay in his place.  We can’t have people thinking (at all) that they can move out of their designated ethnicity, culture, religion, traditions, etc.  Why soon everyone would be demanding the right to think for themselves and chaos would ensue.

Actually, it’s even worse than you might think. Yes, that was a planned ambush. Yes, that ambush was an attempt to murder those persons. Yes, the attack was meant to disrupt the anti-islamofascism protest that day.

But, it was conducted by “autonomers”. Autonomers are a brand of anarchist. Not islamos. This indicates that the islamos and the radical left have officially joined hands in real violence.

  19. The multicultural fadists will also be having a fit over this bloke - because he wants to be just like us.

Can’t have that, can we.  Silly bugger has to stick with the customs and values that he arrived with.  It will be a betrayal of multiculturalism if he prefers to be westernised.

If the muzzies don’t get him, the HREOC or its ilk will.

  20. Anarchists.

    Right up there with conspiracists.

Wouldn’t the anarchists be pissing and moaning when they become victims of the anarchy they profess embrace?

  22. So much for the religion of peace. Ironic that whenever Muslims start professing real peace and tolerance, they have to become ex-Muslims in order to do this. One just can’t do it otherwise.

Yep. Anarchy = the fastest possible path to police state totalitarianism.

But, of course, according to their manifestos, everyone will behave properly, and all will function gloriously and there’ll be no need for rules.

Funny how these utopias tend to exclude actual human behavior.

  24. #23 - Whenever I spot a slacker in an anarchist tee shirt just a quick ferry ride to Seattle) I always toy with performing the following experiment:  knock the guy down and take his wallet.  I bet he’d sell out his principles and call the cops, but then I’m a cynic.

  25. Of course the bien pensant media types will not even think of blaming the muslims for the death threats.  It will be all our fault for tormenting the bastards. We call them names and they kill us.  Yet in the lefty worldview, our actions are somehow far worse.

  33. “If Christian fundamentalists were doing this – as they used to, and would like to again – none of us would hesitate in erupting in rage”.

I noticed digs about Christians throughout the piece.

Even the author falls prey to the forces of multiculturalism while writing against it.  Since Islam is being insulted, Christianity has to be thrown in to balance the piece.

I guess there is nothing new in that, but it’s a little bit annoying.
