CEASE ALL MOVEMENT
Natalie Solent on extremist eco-talk:
There are plenty of other people about using the terms climate change “denialist” or “denier” in an effort to make [warming non-believers] sound equivalent to the likes of David Irving. Those who use these terms generally say they don’t intend to make this parallel. I don’t believe them.
More to the point, I believe in climate change less because of them.
Extremists generally have such an effect on sensible middle-grounders. Which is why I’m happy for them to keep it up. Meanwhile, the Age warns that John Howard risks eco-isolation:
Mr Howard will, in the lead-up to next October’s election, begin to look ever more isolated if he continues to hold the line against decisive action on climate change.
I advocate immediate decisive action in the form of a ban on print media. The environmental benefits? Incalculable! Over in Scotland, the latest enviro-fear is ... trains:
A new high-speed rail link between Scotland and England could help wreck the climate, not save it, as it would increase pollution by encouraging more people to travel.
To the caves, revolutionaries!
