The funniest comments in the Zephyr thread are those from people who accuse her of damaging Kos' reputation. Earth to lefties: Kos has done a bang-up job of that all by himself already.

One thing in response to TimL though. Certainly it's true that us righties can make comments that are just as offensive as what lefties are capable of. The difference, in my experience, is that most people here and on other right-of-center blogs realize when they're being crude and obnoxious assholes, while the lefties I've encountered almost invariably continue to think that their shit doesn't stink even while they call other people Nazis and babykillers.

These are generic insults directed to the quality a persons writing or reasoning. They differ considerably to the bile on Michelle Malkins website, which seem to be directed primarily to her racial origin and gender. Note that they are coming from the type of people who never miss an opportunity to ostentatiously preach the value of multi-culturalism and feminism. Some of the comments are outright frightening and border on the pathological.

Andrea commands, the little people respond:

One thing that strikes me is the absolutely disgraceful personal trashing Zonkette is getting from people who are on the same side as her.

We righties might be rude sometimes, but at least we mostly aim it at the enemy and not at our own people.

As I commented on that thread, lefties should see it as an example of what will happen to them if they make a mistake. Don't make common cause with backstabbers like those.

Verbal or physical abuse is intended to intimidate or demoralise. It has nothing to do with convincing others that your point of view is worth considering.

But lets be honest, I'm sure the likes of Kos gets some pretty foul racist emails from extremists of the right, however I guess the point that strikes me most is the fact that racism goes against the very core of what lefties (even extremist lefties) are supposed to be about, yet when it comes to the crunch, some of them seem to be about as tolerant as a klansman!!
